The moon and Jupiter were close last night.

It drained all the energy from Spunk’s tail to stand by the cat door the night before last. He had to charge his tail again last night.

The moon shining through the window at 4:00 in the morning

We got a pair of pink tarantulas to send to Tristan for Valentine’s Day.
The big tarantula is really big and cuddly
Spunk was helping with boxing the tarantulas and weighing the package so I could create a shipping label.

You’re knocking it over, and you’re going to squish Belafante!

“I squished Belefonte? Now, way, Ese! You’re pulling my tail!”

“You couldn’t have done it without my help!”

“Come on, Paparazzo and Silver! Let me have a break after packing those tarantulas!”

Crane tracks. Cluck! Cluck!

Daddy Owl in the tree just south of our deck.

Captivating photography is a gift. And you’ve got it, man! 🔥
Thanks, Skydenstiny.
Amazing photos Tim, as always. So, is Spunk fully charged now?
He’s been in charge for years. Thanks, Miriam.
What a fine package you all put together! Tristan will be delighted. Hope you don’t have the same problems we have when interesting packages come from abroad and they decide to charge huge amounts of tax on them… Put a very low value on the package and declare it a gift…
Fortunately, she’s a contractor for the Air Force, so we mail it to her address at the base. It’s considered domestic mail. Although, I still have to declare the contents and value for Customs. Otherwise, taxes could be a problem. Thanks, couriers.
Those pink tarantulas look adorable, thank goodness it’s not a pink snake…
They are adoptable. Laurie decided she wanted one, but they ran out soon after I got Tristan’s. You’re not arachnophobic? That’s great! A pink fuzzy snake would be silly. Thanks, Herman.
Oh there’s a wowl in this lovely selection..what more could I want?
The wowl is no longer awowl. He’s showing up nightly, Or maybe Knightly. Thanks, Shey.
LOl!! Arise, Sir Wowl, a ‘wowling you will go.
A wowling we shall go. A wowling we shall go. Up and down and all around. A wowling we shall go.
Love it…. Braw.
Great shot of Daddy Owl!!
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Those darn cats cute to cuddle, always creating havoc! Maybe there’s something to the stuffed tarantula Laurie’s holding.. sweet! xx
Yes. Thanks, Cindy. Do you remember the Movie, “That Darned Cat”?
I’m not sure I’d want a stuffed pink tarantula. TC hates spiders so he wouldn’t want one. Great pictures 👌
We love spiders and Tristan has had various real tarantulas. Thanks, Roberta.

What a great post. I’m so glad you had help packing and weighing the box. I love the branch on the ground. and the footprints of the cranes.
Thanks, Gigi. You can’t beat cat help for great entertainment. That branch is a 30-foot-long cottonwood that got washed away from the bank in high water and is beached there until the next high water loosens the riverbed’s grip and floats it downriver until the riverbed grabs it again. We don’t have driftwood; we have drift trees. The crane’s footprints were a delightful discovery.
I would want to make a bench or a wall installation with the branch. I dragged a huge branch into my living room and it looks great. And yes, there’s nothing better than cats for help and fun.
I brought in a dead tree and made a catmas tree in 2018: https://photos.tandlphotos.com/blog/2018/12/we-wish-you-a-merry-catmas. The kitties loved it.
Best tree ever. I absolutely love it. What fun for the cats, and everyone else 🙂
The cats loved it. I took it down after Christmas that year, so it didn’t become a permanent fixture taking up the whole dance room.
Understandable. But they had fun over the holidays. 🙂
And NOW I understand the pink tarantula you referenced!! Okay, now that’s a tarantula I could get behind! It looks so cozy. Loved seeing your shipping process with your cats’ help, haha! 💞
P.S. Also, I love the shots of the scenery and the Snow Moon! 🌕❄️
While not officially a blue moon, last night’s moon was 99.4% full, which gives it a blue moon status as far as I’m concerned. The official full moon is tonight.
I love them all, no clear favourites today Tim. Great!
A beautiful set of images, Tim. I noted the constellation Orion in the second one. Daddy Owl and cats always nice to see, too.
Spunk looks like he enjoys “helping”. 🙂 Tristan will like those tarantulas.
That holloway tunnel is an interesting image. I wonder how long it took to wear into that pattern?
Spunkie-Poo 💋 really is a little brat!
The stuffed spiders are adorable.
Happy Valentines to Tristan!
That tunnel looking shot is fantastic. Thanks Tim!
Spunk is an adorable, entertaining brat. Tristan is really happy with the Tarantulas. Thanks, Rsaa.
Great photos Tim .. trust Spunk to be the centre of attention!
Always. Thanks, Julie.
