Hail is something I hope not to see in summer up here. Hot and dry. The power company proactively shut off power here in my area for a while yesterday, something done to prevent a fire from starting.
Wow, that sky looks ready to break into a storm for sure. The spiders are pretty and people have fun with that skeleton on their roofs, around here. And yes, seems too earl for Halloween, but some stores already have christmas going. I don’t know why they even bother putting those things away anymore. Depressing, if you ask me.
There are very few brick-and-mortar stores I go to anymore. And even the stores I go to often don’t have what I need. I guess early Halloween props are more profitable for them than stuff people actually need.
Years ago, each store wanted to be first with the decorations for holidays, so they kept getting earlier and earlier, to grab the money. Now it’s just ridiculous.
The daddy long legs are perfect for this post, Tim. I don’t mind a Halloween onslaught nearly as much as the Christmas stuff. Actually, I don’t think I mind it for Halloween at all. 😀
Trying to give me a heart attack by pointing out how few days there are to Halloween there Tim? August 4th is the big haunt day – Home Depot releases their 2025 Halloween lineup for sale – FINALLY.
Good lawrd, where was the Hallowen display??
I allowed Daddy LongLegs in the house. Now I’m dealing with LOTS of baby long legs.
The H display was at Costco. We have lots of Daddy Lonlegs in the house. Thanks, Leenda.
Love the Daddy Longlegs.
FFS… already?
Can you believe it? Thanks, Dale.
NUTS!
Halloween?!!! I think they’re late for Christmas!! 😂
Twins?
I hope that hail wasn’t harsh.
Hail was small, so no damage. Thanks, Marina.
Good to hear!
Halloween…?? Please, let me enjoy the summer right now… 😎
Exactly. “Leave us be Halloween Sam I am, and let us enjoy our summer without your unhallowed spam!” Thanks, Herman.
Ohhhhh, noooooom not Halloween!
Unfortunately, yes! Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Great storm skies to see the scene for Halloween. I dislike how early retailers promote holidays.
They take the fun and anticipation out of the holidays. Thanks, Brad.
Agreed.
Nope nope! No spiders not even daddy long legs.
I love the photo of the storm clouds! Beautiful!
But DLL are sooo cute. Thanks, Becky.
Oh know now this is scary. You’ll be ready though!! 🩷
I’m ready to forget all about it. Thanks, Cindy.
Wow! That really is early!
It really is. Thanks, Dawn.

They haven’t had to do power outages out here so far. The river is too low for irrigation. Thanks, Lavinia.

They should have an aisle for every season. It’s really depressing and depraved, even. Thanks, Gigi.
I actually stopped going into certain stores that put things out so far ahead of time. It ruins every holiday for me.

So rediculous.
Agree.
Never thought about it before, but what a great name for these creatures, Daddy Longlegs”
Veey fitting name. Thanks, Geoff.
Ha ha…I aye set my clock by you on this…..
You might as well. You wont be late. Thanks, Shey.
You know here, the shops have got back to school stuff and placards and aisles BEFORE the schools have even got out for the summer…
We will see school stuff very soon. But Halloween stuff hitting the stores before school supplies is a little outlandish.
yep…. the biz of back to school stuff when the schools had not broken up is as daft…. Be xmas stuff by the end of August the way it is going.
All the back-to-school stuff is on the shelves this week here.
Our schools are now off but I ahd one of thes moments thinking have I been ina coma or something af ew weeks back seeing these signs .
So much of “The same as if ever was!” in the world today.
Abso. Lot of things in the world today…..
Halloween??
Already??
Yikes!!
Yikes is right. Thanks, Nancy.

In reality, neither really bothers me, other than thinking they are all so silly. Both give me content. Thanks, Teagan.
I’m all ready for Halloween. Bring it on!
I’m also ready for Day of the Dead. ……
…….. waiting ………… xx
It seems DoD is everyday these days. Thanks, Resa.
Yes…
can’t wait to be in october !!
Thanks, Llyss.
Thanks, Llyss. Your blog’s a scream. I see why you can’t wait for October.

Wow. 100 days flew by 🖤💀
Time flies. Thanks, Di Chief.
