Moments

My first fully animated music video. I used AI for the images and animation. I wrote the lyrics and used AI to assist me in arranging the music.

    • Absolutely. Getting AI to produce the images and animation I want it to produce is extremely challenging, and it takes a lot of time and effort. It gets to a point where I give up and accept the wonkiness. Thanks, DR.

      • I really mean it that I’m impressed with your use of technology to make a video for your music. That’s commitment.

Sometimes when I write an article, I don’t necessarily have the perfect picture to add. Like my recent story about flames shooting out the tailpipe of my ’79 Mini. That car is long gone, and how would I ever have captured such a photo. But websites like AI Test Kitchen from Google is so much fun to use to try and get the machine to re-create the image. Sometimes I have two heads, sometimes the car has flames painted down the side of it… I don’t think a person could come up with so many stupid suggestions. Very fun.

Maybe one day I’ll be like you and try to make a video!

  1. The rose is very beautiful.

And certainly, I like the dramatic sky in the first picture as well.

The video I have to watch later. My internet connection is acting up a little and I need a bit more speed to have it run from start to finish and not stop every few seconds for a bit.

  2. Great song, Tim. Love the lyrics so true, the music is awesome and inspiring with your visuals and photos at the end as well! Great job. Life now passes us by but look at you sailing through the times with AI as some of us, resist. Lol! 😂

    • Thanks, Teagan. I know you understand how much work it takes to get remotely what you want from AI when it comes to images.

  3. “live for the moment as life slips by”! Spot on and I always hated that expression by the way “live for the moment”! It’s a perverse and cunning alteration of the “live in the moment”, as in, being present. Love the lyrics, Tim and the song and you persuaded ai to do a good job, something I know isn’t easy!

  4. I love it, Tim! Great work putting it all together, I really like the song and lyrics. AI terrifies me more each day, but I can appreciate what can be done if not abused. 😉

  5. FABULOUS!!! I love how you are experimenting with AI. Creatives need to make a decision on how they will engage with AI. We simply cannot ignore the power of AI.

    • That is true. AI can be really helpful. My young staff members make excellent use of it. If you consider AI as another set of tools to help you with work and creative endeavors, AI is not so intimidating or scary.

  6. Great video – I always watch the fingers and joints movements whenever looking at an AI generated video or image – they have a lot of problems in that area (lot of times I see less or more than 5 fingers), but this one looks really good except for maybe the knee joints for the guy jumping in the street. Song is excellent!

    • It was a lot of work to get the images and video to have relatively proper looking people. Thanks, Brian.
