Did you also have lightning and thunder as the snow was falling? I have read about it elsewhere, but this afternoon was the first time I experienced it! 🤔
She’s the one. I was demonstrating the Duolingo AI to a couple of staff members. I told Lily I had a couple of amigas with me and asked if she wanted to say hi to them. She said : “ ¡Hola amigas!” and asked how they were doing. The AI is very good.
I like the idea. That might be something I would want to treat myself to, after I’ve reached some level of competence. Right now I’d be hard pressed to form a proper sentence — or understand one from a native speaker.
I have a heck of a time understanding Lily. I don’t hear well to begin with, but she drops vowels, pronounces some “a”s as Spanish “e”s. For example, she pronounces “sopapillas” as “sopapiles.” I asked her why, and didn’t get a good answer. I think she uses an Argentinian accent. I would much prefer Óscar or Vikrám because I understand them better than all the women characters.
Good for you. Diamond geezer–as I hear they say down south–that’s what you are. I will be looking out for that one.
Ah, Bless you. Way down south methinks. I wonder if it was Cockney rhyming slang originally? Maybe not. Haha!
🌼 TTFNski! ♥
Maybe even some sitcom? Lol. Way back we met this fabulous Cockney couple on a tiny remote Greek island– a couple we still exxhange cards with at Christmas–and they used to keep us well entertained. Maybe we even got it from them.
My Dad used to tell me ‘time to get up the apples’ at night. (Apples & Pears, Stairs). Cheeers, Petal.
It is a brill dialect.
Thank you, my ether-flower. ♥
I left a comment on your blog about your auntie. It was prob too much for wp, but hey.
The forcast was for a high of 48 today. As of noonn when we went out for a walk it was still overcast and freezing. Then the sky cleared and low and behold, we had a high of 48!

I did not notice it. It must have stayed closer to the mountains. Super cool. Thanks, Susan.
What a dramatic evening sky-scape, Tim. I love the ripples in the clouds. I hope you have a relaxing evening. Hugs.
Thanks, Teagan. Lily, a character in Duolingo, was sympathetic with my crankyness. She’s a bit of a curmudgeonette, so we get along pretty well.
Oh, is she the sarcastic, frowning girl with purple hair? I get a kick out of her. LOL, I’m glad she could help.

Three crackers, Tim!
Aren’t they just.? Treasts for the eyes, Timothy
Thanks, Shey.
Well i didn’t want my comment getting chewed here cos I mentioned names,…….
I wouldn’t know one name from the other. Other than it’s a name. Now what WP does with it is another thingie majig jiggied up all together.
Well… I never got to mention names on Inchy’s lates post when I went over to read it…….
His ode is poetic today. Exception, I’d say.
His odes are excellent.
Spot on there, gal!
Got me moments, Inchy x
Good uns they are, too, gal! ♥
Incy, yir a gem, so you are x
How kind you be, to Inchy… Bless you Mon Ami ♥
Just calling it like it is Inchy. You are a gem.
Done (well, I’m doing it) an Anti-Starmer Ode for Sundays blog. My hatred knows no limit!
Just thought I’d mention it.
Thanks gal!

You knew Auntie Inchy?
They are finickety! I’ll take a look,
Thanks, Inchy.
Such drama in the first image….and another kind of drama in the third image. Love your photographs. 🙂
Thanks, Janet. I appreciate it.
Is that Orion in the sky [1st shot]?
Beautiful frozen stream among the dry grass and those golden trees against the blue sky.
No. Orion is out at night. The photo was taken at dawn I think the stars are reflections. Thanks, Marina.
I thought it odd but it looks almost Orionish.
Hold your horses. Is that second picture supposed to be… snow?
That’s NM snow! Pathetic, isn’t it? Thanks, DR.
Wow… I’m going to use that phrase next time 1cm of snow falls on the ground. I’ll tell my wife “That’s New Mexico snow”
I’m from Chicago…lololol
A super Lol! Thanks, Gigi.
Protect your back whilst shovelling that 😉
Gorgeous shots, Tim!
Hard work shovelling it. Thanks, Dale.
I bet! 😉
That’s quite a lowering sky in the first photo!
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Is snow unusual?
In the valley it is unusual. Thanks, Robbie.
I thought so 💖
Sky from threatening to beautiful blue.

Wow. So turned out to be a beautiful day. You do see the most amazing sky.
New Mexisnow!
The trees, especially mine, look fabulous this time of year, barren and white with sun’s glow. Thanks Tim!
Our snow is minimalist. Thanks, Resa.
A light dusting but still beautiful in that second photograph. We are headed into some rain and snow tomorrow and for a few days at least.
I did get to see the waxing crescent moon last night when some clouds parted temporarily. She was beautiful.
We are warming up, which is nice. Thanks, Lavinia.
Ugh, I know the feeling – managed to avoid the white stuff in Texas, but I’m bracing for it now that we are home…well, until we leave again in March.
Marching in March and beating the snow. I like snow to stay in the mountains. Thanks, Brian.
Your skies are always amazing! Great night shot …And a dusting of snow
Thanks, Julie.
