All of your bird pictures are wonderful. I particularly appreciate the ones of the cranes in the river, because I know what you had to do to get those images. The coyote looks healthy.
I’m really glad I got to see the cranes fly over not too long ago. It’s hard to believe, but it won’t be too long before they’re flying north again. Thanks for documenting them while they are here.
Wile E. Coyote is in good company.
Stunning picture of the colourful Songbirds.
I wonder why they call the Blue Crane a flying reptile. 🤔
Great pictures all the same
Laurie and I call the Great Blue Heron a pterodactyl because he looks and sounds like a pterodactyl to us. To the rest of the world, Great Blue Herons are Great Blue Herons. Thanks, abvr.
Wile E. is a handsome fellow, Tim. I enjoy seeing the critters of the bosque and riverlands. Thank you for sharing them with your readers. Looks peaceful and all as it should be.
Got some wild windy weather in the forecast for today and tomorrow. Hope the power stays on.
A wonderful collection of Wile E. & Company. We have signs all over our nearby pathways to be aware of coyotes. A friend of mine was walking back from grocery shopping with a barbecue chicken which always has a wonderful aroma. She met up with a coyote, who was very interested in her grocery bag. The chicken was left on the pathway, much to the delight of the coyote.
That coyote is going to expect a BBQ chicken every time she walks home from the grocery store. And from other people walking home from the grocery store, as well. I wouldn’t worry too much about one coyote, but a pack of coyotes coming for yout BBQ chicken would be formidable opposition. Thanks, Rebecca.
Wile E. is lovely. Hard to believe he could bite me. Looks pet-able.
Love the colourful finches… wow! We have brown ones. Thank you for the beautiful nature, Tim!

Your welcome, Susan. I’m happy they put on a show for you the other day. We see and hear the every day, but they will be gone in no time.
I am still thrilled I got to see the cranes while we had a short visit to New Mexico a few weeks ago.
Love all of your photos! Amazing they are!
That’s great you go to see cranes in person. Thanks, Nancy.
Fantastic pictures, Timothy
Thanks, Roberta.

Oh they are Herons
I don’t know why I called them Cranes.
Have I read wrongly in hurry??
Cranes are Sandhill Cranes. There’s a bunch of cranes. There is one pTerodactyl that’s a Great Blue Heron.
I have to look at all the pictures again.
I hope Wily b behaved impeccably.
He’s pretty chill. Just hangs around keeping a safe distance. Thanks, Shey.
He’s something else but that don’t mean i’d trust him the proverbial inch. But great post.
Coyotes are not the most trustworthy of critters.
Awww.. He is a darling so he is. IF ever he is looking for a garden…
Ah, there he is, and all other beautiful beings in your paradise!
…towards a happy new week! 😉
Wile E likes to hang around, stayed close by, but at a safe distance. Thanks, Marina.
Well, he knows he’s in good company!
It seems that way.
Wile E… was he searching for the other day’s roadrunner?
Wonderful crane shots and I particularly love the colours in the finches feeding group.
Wile E. just likes to hang out nearby, keeping a safe distance. Thanks, Dale.
Smart of him
That’s one healthy coyote and the finches are soooo pretty. Love the colors❣️
Thanks, Cindy.

Thanks, Lavina.
So far it is calm out there and not a breeze is stirring…
Mostly sunny and calm here.
Most of the wind and power glitches here came during the night.
We had an icy wind come up in the late afternoon.
Fabulous photos….a great start to the new year:)
Thanks, Janet.

The red-winged blackbird is one of my favorite birds.
Was there a package from Acme sitting nearby?
Hmmm! Come to think about it… Thanks, Brad.
And a tiny cloud if dust with a “meep meep!”
Surprisingly, we’ve had enough wetness to stifle little dust clouds.
Wow so much to see 8n this post…. but I love seeing the squadron of kites leaving on a mission.
Thanks, Geoff.
The pictures of the cranes are amazing. Wiley E looks hungry😆
Coyotes always look hungry. He’s fat and doing well feeding himself. Thanks, Becky.
You are getting “bird””doggy” on us Tim! Those Crane landings can be a train wreck at times….”clear the runway!”
The cranes of run into each other on landing and a good spat follows. Thanks, Brian.
