With August starting tomorrow, I might be a tad late planting any sunflowers. Anyway, we really didn’t warm-up the overnights from the mid-40s until late June. It’s hard to ask the ground to be warm enough when it’s that cool
Our sunflowers are volunteers. We haven’t planted sunflowers in years. It’s so dry out here. My weather station shows 0.01 inch of rain for July. Unless we get some significant rain before midnite, we will have on of the driest Julys in memory on this property. Thanks, Danzig.
Gorgeous sunflower pics, against that black background those yellows really pop. I’ll have to overlook the fact those are Iowa Hawkeye colors and us Illini have to swear an oath to forever hate before we are allowed to get our diplomas. (much to the distaste of my Iowa born sweetie).
The Distant Drums is beautiful! All the images are wonderful.
Thanks, Susan. It had different shades of red, peach and pink and then turned mostly pink last night.
Happy blooms! Gwendolyn looks very soulful in her little perch.
She barely fits now. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim. 😀
Sunshine from the earth! Lovely!
Thanks, Rebecca.

That is dry. Traveling through Colorado from Kansas, they’ve had plenty of rain. It’s probably close to normal since 5-6 years ago.
From the backside, I would not have thought Gwendolyn’s reflecting face would be that adorable.
She is adoarble, but fitting into a circle much too small for her she looks silly. Thanks, Dawn.
How lovely. I love sunflowers.
Thanks, Shey.
Gwendolyn is glorious:)
She makes her presence known. Thanks, Janet.
Such loveliness! And hello sweet kitties!
Thanks, Nancy.
My pleasure Sir Tim!
I love the transition from golden to pink and pink Gwendolyn!
Color change is fun. Thanks, Marina.
Very much fun!
Is Sunny calling the Distant Drums or are the Distant Drums announcing Sunny? This is what Gwendolyn is pondering, I mean reflecting!
Good questions. Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks, Dale.
🙂
Wow just gorgeous!
>
Thanks, Lars.
Oh my gosh, the photo of the pink roses and the cat go so well together!!! Love the photos! 🌸💖
Thanks, Samantha.
Beautiful Tim. Sunny and more, and I love the reflecting Gwendolyn.
Now I’ve got Stevie Wonder singing Sunny in my brain. Pretty great actually! xx
I was thinking about that song. Thanks, Resa.
Wow! Great minds.
Mind you.
You two.
I didn’t even see the mirror at first. I thought you just had two black cats staring at each other just so until I read the caption.
Cats and mirrors can fool you. Thanks, JYP.
Beautiful flowers, Tim and my favorite is Gwendolyn reflecting.
We had old Nano put to sleep on Friday the 4th. His kidneys were failing and his quality of life too far gone.
It’s sad to lose your old kitties. So sorry. Thanks, Lavinia.
Gorgeous flowers .. nothing like a reflection with a kitty in it
Thanks, Julie.

Hawkeye colors happen. Thanks, Brian.
So it does, much to my wife’s enjoyment.
