I was out on the Rio Grande at Beaver Point last month when I heard motorcycles racing on I-25. The motorcycles were very loud and very clear. I recorded the motorcycles, wrote and recorded the song, “All Revved Up”, and I finally got around to borrowing enough video snippets from YouTube to make the above music video. Below is a map of where I was standing and approximately where the motorcycles were racing on I-25 when I made the recording.

Sound carries very well from the Interstate to Corrales. Often the cars, trucks, and motorcycles sound like they are on the ditch bank 500 feet from the house.
All Revved Up
By Timothy Price
[Verse 1]
I’m all revved up
Yeah! So cool
On my motorcycle
No fool
Donuts, wheelies, smoking tires
Screamin’ like a demon shot out of hell fire
[Chorus]
Centerline slalom whiteline fever
Lighting fast, intense street sweeper
Dragging demons, cheating the Reaper
[Verse 2]
Black leather jacket
Is so cool
Motorcycle boots
No fool
Don’t you wanna record all the action
Flawless riding satisfaction
[Chorus]
Centerline slalom whiteline fever
Lighting fast, intense street sweeper
Dragging demons, cheating the Reaper
[Bridge – Rap]
Revving my engine while I’m sitting at a red light
Greenlight, smoking tire the power grab is out of sight
Three-second speed rush slamming on the brakes tight
Revving my engine, oh those vibes feel so right.
[Guitar Solo]
[Verse 3]
Red lights flashing
That’s not cool
One-hundred-sixty
You fool
Tucked on the tank, giving it my all
Still got caught, slammed up against the wall
[Outro]
Redneck motha in the clink, err
Slowpoke and depressed cell sweeper
Lonely, longing, befriends the Reaper

The sound of motorcycles sets my teeth on edge. As far as the Grim Reaper is concerned, he often wins in NH, as we have no helmet law.
I think we have a helmet law for minors, but over 18 no helmet is required. I don’t see many people on croch rockets without helmets. Few bikers on Harleys and Harley-style motorcycles wear them. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim. I don’t see many crotch rockets around here, mostly Harleys and Harley style.
We have the whole range of motorcycles out here. There’s a Harley Davidson dealership next door to our office and an Indian dealership two blocks down the road. I hear motorcycles revving all day long. The Harleys aren’t as annoying as the crotch rockets.
I can’t imagine having to endure that all day long.
It’s not bad. Better then the sirens and crazies walking the streets yelling at the top of their lungs when we were downtown.
When you put it that way . . .
I swear… these motorcyclists really do like to cheat the Reaper! Every time I see them dressed in skimpy tops, I think… I hope nothing happens to you because you will have no skin left!
Way to go with your tune and mash-up of videos!
I think the same thing. Roadrash is terrible. I’m have plenty of it from bicycle racing. Thanks, Dale.
Ouch… Bicycle is painful enough but motorcycle? Awful. My pleasure, Tim.
Fotunately all my mortorcycle crashes were on dirt bikes in the dirt. I got some pretty bad injuries, but not much road rash.
Still…
My brother-in-law always wore protective gear – which saved him when he went flying. I don’t want to think of what he would have looked like without it.
He wouldn’t have been a pretty sight.
Definitely not. Scary after the fact to think of what could have happened.
Exactly my thoughts!!!!! 😱😂
Seriously!

Awesome video and song, Tim. Watching that gave me anxiety. It also reminded me of watching drag racing as a kid on Los Angeles. Wild sports.
There are a lot of silly, daring riders out there. I rode motorcycles for years. I used to do Evel Knievel-like jumps, and raced, but never stunts like standing on seats and acrobatics while riding wheelies. Thanks, Jeff.
Understood. I’ve only rode a couple of times, always in the desert. Welcome, Tim.
I did a lot of desert riding back in the day.
I never got into motorbikes. Took enough nasty spills riding horseback.
It’s amazing I survived horses and motocycles. Thanks, Lavinia.
You did a great job, making this video Timothy and my compliments for the song.
Thanks, Rudi.
I was waiting to see you perform a stunt on a bike but I guess you chose to write a song instead. Probably a very wise decision… I once drove my brother’s Kawasaki 750. It was actually very scary…
They are lots of fun once you have some experience. Thanks, Herman.
That’s some distance Tim. But hey a great use of the recording
Thanks, Shey.
Cheating the Reaper once, cheating the Reaper twice… and that’s about it with cheating him! 😉 Excellent song and video, Tim!
Thanks, Marina.
When I went to California in May, motorcyclists were doing this crazy stuff on the L.A. freeways, and it was terrifying to drive alongside it. I was waiting for a major accident to occur at any minute. Great song, though!
It’s crazy stuff. Even crazier to be in the middle of it. Thanks, Dawn.
You’d be surprised at how well highway sounds travel. The bikers in your video, they’re not “real” bikers in a sense they don’t wear proper gear. Leather chaps, steel-toed boots, leather jacket, gloves are a necessity. So, is a full size helmet. I have a Harley in my garage. After Andrea and I were married, it was our primary transportation. Her Camaro Z28 spent more time at the dealer than Andrea driving it. Laurie is a little leery when we get onto the Highway of Death. She prefers something more substantial. The daughters love riding on the Harley.
The world of fast cafe-style motocycles is much different from the Harley Biker world. I don’t think riders form either group wants to be confused with the other. I doubt there was a single Harley in the group of motorcycles I recorded. Anyone should be leery of being on a public highway on a motorcycle with all the distracted drivers paying more attention to their phones than the road these days. Thanks, David.
Can understand the attraction of motorbikes but hate the sound. We live by a busy road and they’re the only sound that drives us nuts.
Even if you are hard of hearing, they break through the deafness barrier. Thanks, Couriers.
love the lyrics but will wake the house up so I’ll wait to entertain everyone at a decent hour. You do wear a helmet i sure hope!!!💗
I haven’t riden a motorcycle in years. Yes I wear helmets on motorcycles and bicycles. Thanks, Cindy.
Nothing quite like the sound of motorcycles… a friend of mine has a couple of young sons (3-4 years old maybe), and whenever the sound of a bike comes within range, they become mesmerized and drift off to where the sound is coming from. It is hilarious and amazing to watch! This tune is for them!
Those two will be racing soon enough. I photographed an indoor motocross event in 2016. The tiny tots were really good riders. Thanks, Randall.
The motorcycles sound great!
Nice music composition, Tim! xoxo
Thanks, Resa. Does it make you want to get on a bike and do a wheelie?
Naw! I always fall off and skin my knee! lol
There seems to be a Darwin Award element to that song ha!
Absolutely. Thanks, Brian.
