Sorry Single Saturday

Spunk enjoying the box our new microwave came in. Can you find the Paparazzo?

I had a busy day and got home late, so I had to post a sorry single photo quite quickly. We don’t go to Costco very often these days, but when we do, the dance room ends up filled with boxes from Costo, that add to boxes from Amazon and other deliveries. The cats are in box heaven until I break down the boxes for recycling. As I pile up broken-down boxes, the cats lie on the pile in protest — kitty box huggers, like tree huggers, trying to keep me from taking out the boxes. I assure the kitties there will be more boxes, as I pick up the pile and take them out. The kitties have favorite boxes that I never break down and taken out because the kitties play and play and play on them and shredded them into pieces until the boxes are no more. They especially like guitar boxes for some reason.

  1. Kitties love to romp around in boxes. Kids like to as well. I can remember the boxes being played in long after the toys were forgotten! Great pic, good luck with the new Micro.

    • Thanks, Holly. We got a Breville microwave. Breville is kind of like the Apple of appliances. They are elegant, functional and intuitive. Very user friendly. We’ve used their countertop ovens for years. They came out with a couple of new microwaves recently and our old microwave went kaput last week.

  2. Hahaha… kitty box huggers… love that expression! Jimi seems to be a special cat, he’s not a real box lover. Mr. Bowie loved all the boxes that arrived in my house.

    • Some cats are special. All our cats love boxes. Jimi probably wants you to play with him all the time. Thanks, Herman.

    • Thanks, Charlotte. In some ways Costco drives me crazy. They quit carrying things like large bags of Hot Tamales because they think they not good for us! Yet they have so many processed, super high salt, high fat foods that are much worse for people. They also get a load of a really cool item, and when it sells out. That’s it. No more. However, they do have good produce and they still carry things like Cheeze-Its. Either they determined Cheeze-Its are not that bad for you or they simply sell to many to may a value or un-value judgement.

    • Most of those boxes have been broken down, but the big one is still here. The kitties are still playing with it. Thanks, Resa.
