A coyote sauntering along the levee looks back to check out the paparazzo.
The Neowise comet from 7/20. That was the only clear sky we had last week.
Hummer holding an iron cross over the Rio Grande.
Oh! We’ve been seeing daddy owl, but not mama owl or the owlets.
The coyote and the hummingbird photos in particular are stunning!
Thanks, Bruce.
Great photos, Timothy. I never saw the comet! Apparently, the other owls have flown the coup.
They are around because we hear them at night, but they have flown away from their usual spots.
That’s so nice! They sound so wonderful. 😊
YAY! Daddy Owl!
Beautiful photos Timothy.
Thanks, Gabriela.
My pleasure 🙂
Fabulous shots!
Thanks, Nancy.
I tried a few times to search for the comet, but unfortunately, we had no clear skies so far… Always love to look at things happening above our heads, far far away…
Hi Herman. We have mostly clear skies during the day, but this time of year thunderstorms roll through almost every night.
Great selection, Sir!
Thanks, Inchcock.
I got an email of your latest post but it apparently got deleted. It looked like you had quite a day out in the rain with no luck on the tootsies.
Oh, gawd, I’d fed-up!
Now the Food Delivery has not arrived! Really peeved off!
Now that’s a great treat all round! A coyote, NEOWISE, a cross pose by the hummer and papa owl! All brilliant shots with a slight preference to the obscure coyote [I love them!] 😉
Happy Tuesday, my friend. 🙂
Thanks, Marina. If you like coyotes, you might like the song I did with coyotes: https://wp.me/s1yQyy-coyotes
Just did and I loved it!!!!!!!!!
I’m so happy! Thanks, Marina.
🙂🙂
That coyote has got style…. It just needed the sunspecs. But these are beautiful. The hummer is an amazing shot.
Thanks, Shehanne.
Great hummer shot!
Coyote must’ve been okay since you weren’t staring him in the eyes. That’s when they begin to follow you everywhere. Nice iron cross look. I rate it a 10.0. Not even the Russians or Chinese on steroids can hold that position that long. 🙂
Beautiful photos from your bosque, Tim. No sign of Mama of baby owls? Wonder where they are off to?
Thanks, Lavinia. Like so many things that come and go, it’s hard to say. Three years ago we had a lot more owls. I haven’t seen as many owls this year. We used to never see beavers, now I see them almost daily. Same thing with herons and cormorants. Animals have cycles.
That sky with the coyote! Whoa…
I’ve not even seen the comet, never mind trying to capyture it.
Love the “iron cross” hummer!
And daddy owl is looking particularly handsome.
Thanks, Dale.
Thanks for the bosque life update, Tim! Love that coyote shot, the orange sky too!
Love the scene with the coyote! The comet photos are amazing, too!
A cavalcade of nature! Neat shots. I wish coyotes were more friendly. I think Jeep would like one.
So great, Tim.
Jeep is sleeping by the laptop.
Coyotes are not cat friendly in the least. Get any thoughts of coyotes out of Jeep’s pretty head. Thanks, Resa.
Right!
Coyote, check! Comet, check! Iron Cross, only thought of German military medals before opening the post. Now Iron Cross, Check! Perfect shot of the h-bird displaying a perfect iron cross. Bravo!
I think of the iron cross from gymnastics. Hummingbirds are excellent aerial gymnasts. Thanks, Maj & Sher.
I’m glad I didn’t miss this one!
Thanks, Susan.
Super photos Tim!
Thanks, Julie.
