I see they are now setting up right next to the Humble Coffee there on Central, near the hat store. Sign for Red Door Brewery up. Coming Soon, probably.
Hi Holly. I was thinking the same thing. I thought about “Abandoned by Nighthawks” for a title, but I got caught up with those five bottles of beer on the wall.
Perfect the Five Bottles, it’s a jewel of a pic, somehow I thought of Nighthawks immediately! Great catch!
There is something about the lonely bar that is reminiscent of Hopper’s painting. Although, these days, people might be more familiar with Gottfried Helnwein’s parody of Nighthawks, especially after Green Days’ “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”. Curiously enough, one of the Diners not far from where I took this photo goes back to the era of “Nighthawks”, but it has a poster of Gottfried Helnwein’s parody hanging on the wall.
Iām unfamiliar with the parody. I must look that up. Very interesting Tim!
Our Albuquerque š I like seeing the Eagle Building in the corner.
Whilst I don’t understand the context of this particular place within your city, photographs like this are of historical value and also there’s just enough objects there to occupy the eye for some time.
It’s just another one of a whole bunch of brewpubs / taprooms in the Albuquerque area. I’ve heard Aussies like beer, but we may have you beat out here. The place moved to a space one street north on Old Route 66, which is a bit more historic. Thanks.

They left five beers behind. Thanks, Bruce.
So fabulous, this reminds me of “Nighthawks” the painting by Edward Hopper. Such a gem!

Thanks, Susan!
Not going to get many customers with only five bottles š
True! It makes for a very short song. YAY!!!
That is true. Thanks, Resa!
I remember t hat song! We used to sing that one as kids along with “The Ants Go Marching”. Photo challenge there, Tim! š
Hi Lavinia. I always hated that song. But it was a popular pass the time song when I was a kid.
