    • Hi Rebecca. It is. I see quite a few cars booted in that lot these days. They raised the price to park there around the first of the year. Since then, few people park there. If someone doesn’t pay or their time runs out, they get the boot.

  1. It’s the Denver Boot at work. As practiced in Denver, the boot is used for nearly everything there, from metered parking (and other parking) violations to ticketed traffic violations (failing to make the court appearance) to snow route violations. Rarely is it used by a private parking lot vendor here – more likely the car would be towed.

    • Hi David. The city tends to tow, and the private parking lots boot down here. The lot I did the photo in is booting more since fewer people are parking in the lot. They change $75 to remove the boot, plus whatever the ticket is.
