I went out to run an errand at lunchtime and discovered a Citroën DS in the parking lot. This one is most likely a late 1970’s model. The Citroën DS was designed by an Italian sculptor and a French aeronautical engineer in the 1950’s.

Growing up our neighbors had one. Its was terrible in the snow! The back wheel-well would clog up and freeze.
Interesting. I have no experience with the DS model. We Rented a couple of different Citroëns when we lived in Spain in the late ’90’s. I really liked the Citroën Xsara.
This was back in the late 70’s and also in Canada! I remember many mornings when he would be using a crowbar to loosen the ice build up. 😉
I can imagine. I used to get mud built-up between my fender and tire on my big road bike that would seize up my front wheel. I used a large screwdriver to pick the mud out from between the tire and the fender to free up the front wheel. It was a lot of work and a terrible mess.
I like this model ^ ^
Have a nice weekend~
Great car. If you’re lucky, you can still see them in traffic in this part of the world.
Nice photo, but I can’t say this is a fab car of mine. But I can see why people like them.
I’ve never been crazy about them, either. But they are interesting cars, and the type of car that is fair game for my camera:)
Yep, with u there.
