It’s probably better to get run over by a rhinoceros than a city bus. Yesterday morning a driver ran a red light at 3rd & Gold, and was broadsided by a city bus. The occupants of the car were taken to the hospital, the bike on the front of the bus was smashed up and a passenger on the bus had minor injuries. These are the city bus investigators at the scene.
Tonight’s sunset through the trees by the Corrales park was quite colorful tonight.

Both colorful! One pretty awful, one just pretty!
The bus pushed the car about 200 feet before coming to a stop, and people on the sidewalks were running for cover.
Wow. Looks and sounds pretty awful!
Hope no wounded!
Love the contrasts of the first shot (although a horrific situation) and especially love how the female investigator has held on to her femininity, really contrasting her top half with her bottom half… At first, I just couldn’t understand what she was doing. All this kept me looking at the picture for some time; a whole story in itself!
Thanks, Adèle. I’m happy you noticed the contrast of how the woman is dressed. She was entering info into her iPhone. It was interesting that I never saw her speak with the other people from her department, police or emergency staff. She showed up, looked at the wreck, took some photos with here iPhone, entered info, and left. What you can’t tell from the photo is that it’s not very cold (the police, emergency staff and most of the spectators were wearing short sleeves), but the investigators apparently have to wear those clunky jackets when they are on-site.
Love that pink/purple blossom tree in the first. Random beautiful thing in the midst of such chaos. And the second, well that is just one gorgeous shot.
Thanks!
