Happy Birthday G&G

Gwendolyn

Happy 4th of July. Today is Glenda’s and Gwendolyn’s birthday. They are two years old.

Glenda

Happy 4rth of July. This is as close to getting fireworks as I’m going to get tonight.

The moon manage to shine through the cloud cover last night. No moon tonight.

When Wet It’s Roses

No sunset, no moon, I couldn’t check on the owls. Rain, much needed rain, kept me inside to post photos of roses. The first Dr. Huey in the above photo. Julie’s giant Dr. Huey is only thinking about blooming. After it blooms we will have our 7th annual Dr. Huey tour.

Fourth of July with a Grasshopperlette.

I posted this one last week when it only had 5 roses in bloom.

Bazzoka’s first beavers. It was dark so they are not super clear. the one on the right looks like a bear.

Bazooka’s first swallow. Swallow are faster and more erratic flyers than bats.

Lunar Eclipse 7/4/2020

The peak of the eclipse at 10:30 pm MDT.

There was a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse tonight, July 4, 2020. The moon was so bright, I couldn’t see any changes to it besides the clouds drifting by adding a little drama to the scene. It was rather anticlimactic, but I photographed in anyway.

The tracker on my screen showed the coverage at the peak on the eclipse.

A cloud drifting by at 10:07 pm gave an eclipse look to the moon.

9:40 pm clouds striping across the moon.

9:45 pm cloud eclipse.

4th of July

Fireworks are outlawed in Corrales, so all we have is 4th of July (the rose), and the lightning storms passing overhead. A tiny spider was watching the lightning show from an Easter lily.
