Yellow slippers…Snowy Egret! That flycatcher is really cool, not sure what it is, possibly a Ash-Throated or a Brown-Crested…just bot sure. Way to deal with that petulant napkin Spunk, thump it good for us.
You are right. It’s a Snowy Egret. The mooing threw me off. According to Merlin, the flycatcher is the Ash-throated variety. Spunk works hard to keep us safe. Thanks, Brian.
These photos are all wonderful…..so glad your family is protected by Spunk the Napkin Attacker (!). Am I the only one who saw your first photo with the clouds thinking “Mom cloud and her baby”? – a perfect Mother’s Day photo.
Those are beautiful panels of the birds and lizard, Tim! Spunk looks like he had a very busy day there. No wonder he is worn out! Wishing a belated Happy Mother’s Day to Laurie.
Spunk has been very busy, protecting everyone and dealing with gifts. I think he deserved a nap. The Mama owl and her owlet are so sweet and the birds are beautiful.
Napkins can be vicious. Spunk noticed that a napkin was attacking the corners of my mouth and saved me. He is so good about taking care of us. Thanks, Resa.
I love watching Spunk being Spunk. And I enjoyed all the other pictures too. 😻
He was being super Spunky. Thanks, Susan.

his antics are enough gift on Mother’s day!
Spunk keeps us entertained. Thanks, Couriers.
That was a special way to celebrate Mother’s Day. Good job, Spunk!
Spunk knows how to do special occasions. Thanks, Herman.
Are you sure it wasn’t the napkin that was being attacked……
Nope. Spunk was protecting us from a vicious, out-of-control napkin. Thanks, Shey.
Well done that cat.
He works hard to keep us safe.
He does indeed.
Gorgeous.
Thanks, Violet.

Spunk was certainly in rare form for Mother’s Day!
Spunk lives special occasions. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Way to go Spunk!
Thanks, Brad.
She put on quite a show and then sacked out.. lol. What great photos of all of the critters for MD too. Hope Laurie enjoyed her day❣️
Spunk is a hard working kitty. Thanks, Cindy.
Indeed so true.. You’re welcome, Tim💐

Spunk works hard keeping us safe. It’s nice to have the owls nesting where I can see them again. Thanks, Gigi.
I’m glad you have the owls so that we can all see them. And Spunk is a wonderful guard cat.
It’s nice to have the owls close by again.
Most definitly.
OMG!
This is the cutest post ever. Spunkie-Poo 💋 outdid himself.
Although, I do feel sorry for the napkin.
Happy belated Mother’s Day to Laurie!

Thank goodness Spunkie-Poo 💋 got the better of that vicious napkin. WHEW! I never realized how much violence was going down at your place. xx
Life is like Breaking Bad around here.
The cats are making meth in the basement?
The kitties are into snorting cheese! The general violence and environment of BB are not exaggerated. Lane said he tells people BB is a documentary.
sheesh
Here in Dolores the humidity was 5% the other day, and we had clouds like your cloud over the Sandias.
Whoa, that’s lower than our huumidy was on Sunday. Thanks, Joe.
