7º @ 7:00

I remember being outside one morning at the end of January when the temperature was 7º F (-13.8 C) at 7:00 a.m. I was wishing for summer heat. Now that the summer heat is here, I started thinking about that cold morning in January, and the song I wrote about it.

  1. Cool video Tim! I think we can never be happy either it’s too hot or too cold! Ah Now if it was a nice 15C! Or at least a breeze! I’m not a hot summer girl 😅🥴🤣

  2. For years I always said I loved summer. But the last years with all the heatwaves… I have my doubts. Guess I prefer spring and fall…
I enjoyed the video and like your song, Tim. Have a great Sunday!

  3. Good morning, Tim. The shot of the moon showing through the trees at twilight is beautiful. Thanks for re-sharing the video. I must have missed it. The song does conjure feelings of winter. Your photos are perfect for it.
At this point, I would be fine with perfect temperatures year round! It seems like it would be possible… 😸. Hugs.

  4. Fabulous video. Awesome instrumentals. Great photography. Wonderful words.
The heat finally broke here. This weather we are having now is perfect summer weather. Hope it cools down for you soon.

  5. That is a beautiful song and video, Tim. An intricate, haunting melody and good lyrics. I love all the scenes in it from your area. I can hear Teagan singing this one. I think this song would be a great one for her voice.

      • It really is a lovely song, Tim. I haven’t forgotten about the Steampunk song, which I adore. But the heat (and me keeping the thermostat too high because I’m in a constant panic about the possibility of the AC going out) has been sapping all my energy. I know you’re easy going about it, but just wanted you to know. Hugs.

        • Ho no! Not the AC going out. Lane’s AC went out and the AC is out at the Corrales Post Office. Bad year for bad AC. I hope yours gets you through the summer. Thanks, Teagan.

    • We actually have fairly moderate temperatures. It’s dry here, so the heat isn’t that bad. We have really wide swings in the daily temperatures. It was 10ºC this morning, and it’s 37.8ºC this afternoon. Thanks, Robbie.

  6. Nice song, beat sounds familiar, but can’t place it at the moment – thinking a little Scorpion, but then not, interesting. 7 is a far cry from today’s temperatures! I hate to think what kind of heat conditioning I am down to now ugh. I see AI is still having problems with fingers.

  7. Listening to your cool song, Tim! I really like it.

Seems like “nothing in between” applies to summer and winter now. Used to be spring and fall in between. It’s that way up here now, anyway.

    Thank you for the music!

    • We get lots of wind between winter and summer. But it’s been dry all year round in general. I’m happy you liked the song. Thanks, Resa.
