Locally, I saw something huge & rectangular shaped in the sky last night. Shape suggested a banner pulled by a plane – but no plane, too far inland (that’s a beach thing), and way too big. Size & location suggested a blimp, but the shape was wrong, and it moved too fast… not ufo fast, just too fast for a blimp. It was low for insanely sized plane, esp with no airport in its area. I know it was something logical but have zeeo idea what!!
There’s a comet out there that is supposed to be visible to the naked eye. I think it’s too low to the horizon, and the mountains block our view of it. Thanks, Lavinia.
Now this is what I call “Perfectly aligned” 👏 👏 👏 👏
Thanks, Vincent.
Gorgeous.
Thanks, Shey.
Fabulous! Great picture!
I call that sliver moon a “Hey Diddle Diddle Moon.”
Thanks, Nancy.
I had to max embiggen to see the whirly bird.

Probably a UFO. Thanks, Leenda.
I need to pull my dash cam and upload some pics!
An unusual sky! I love the colors and the crescent moon.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Beautiful catch, Tim! I almost missed the helicopter. The three make a nice line!
I saw the moon up here last night in the fading afterglow. 43 degrees this morning.

This be the comet, I think. I will look for it tonight, but we are are getting clouds moving in.

Nicely captured. Right place, right time, eh?
Exacatacily. Thanks, Dale.
😁
Like a painting. Striking capture, Timothy.
Thanks, Michele.
Thank you!
Wonderful – I love this
A celestial moment captured by Tim.
I hear this alignment won’t happen again for many years. Apparently planet Helicopter has an unpredictable orbit.
A fun post, Tim, thank you!
It might never happen again, a once-in-a-lifetime event. Thanks, Resa.
Nice shot.
Thanks, Gigi.
What a great shot
Thanks, Robbie.
The colors are amazing. I could barely see the helicopter. Naked to these blide eyes.. 😉
The helicopter is hard to see. Thanks, Cindy.
Is that called a movieopter?
You could say that. Thanks, Brian.
