This nicely restored Chevy pickup truck was parked by our office one-day last week. It’s a 1937 model (thanks Rubens Junior). This model originally had a 216 cubic inch in-line 6 cylinder engine that produced around 85 horsepower.
What a great looking car! I love vintage and restored objects from the ’50. A good friend of mine just made an offer for a beautiful Gibson ES-125 guitar from 1952.
Nicely restored and has a tasteful choice of color.
The truck is a much older machine though, it is a 1937 model. I wonder what kind of heart beats under the hood.
Oh what an absolute beauty with V8 restored engine
Love-love the colour
They should make a movie with this pick’,up
Growing up I saw a few of them
But I’m more familiar with the Chevy Impala.
The 1937 models had 216 cubic inch in-line 6 cylinder engines. I had two 1958 Chevy pickups and they both had 236 cubic inch in-line 6-cylinder engines.
Nice restoration. One of those models where the flash outside is higher than the spark inside it. ’37 first year for the Stovebolt I think, but my car knowledge tailed off after my early days spent passing the hours with my father under a car hood.
That is a beautiful restored truck, Tim. I liked the color!
It’s similar to the red on my car, Thanks, Lavinia.
Red truck in sight, driver’s delight!
Nice rhyme. Thanks, Geoff.

That Gibson must have a hefty price tag on it. Thanks, Herman.
Very nicely restored. Curious, do you not need license plates for antique cars in the US?
One might be able to get a specialty license plate for antique cars. Otherwise, classic cars have the same plates as brand new cars. Thanks, Couriers.
Didn’t see one. Perhaps it was there for a photo shoot?
I think someone who works in one of the buildings owns it. It does have a license plate. You can see it in the 4th photo.
Ah, missed that.
We are don’t have license plates on the front of the cars in New Mexico. Some of the other states require front and back license plates.
That is Sa-weet! ❤️
Thanks, Nancy.
I used to drive yellow one just like that:)
I had two 58 models in the 70s. They were army green. Thanks, Janet.
Oh my lord, this is wonderful.
It certainly is. Thanks, Shey.

Thanks, Rubens. Being a 37, I wonder if it has an original engine.
That’s a beautiful paint job. It has a lot of depth.
It’s a beautiful paint job. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
An album cover from ZZ Top comes to mind. Very pretty finish.
Thanks, Brad.

Thanks, abvr. I don’t know what the engine is.
Ok, but the original Chevy Trucks was powered by a V8 engine.
You are welcome Timothy

1958 were made with V8 as far as I know
I’m sure you could get one with a V8 but the Straight 6 was standard.
Ok, I must check out the details I could be mistaken.
What a beauty! Love the candy apple red!
Thanks, Dale.
It looks even better than new…. compliments for who did this work.
They did a great job. Thanks, Rudy.
She is gorgeous!!!!!
She is. Thanks, Marina.
Wow, this is stellar clean and gorgeous, Tim!❤️
Thanks, Cindy.
This looks emasculate 🙂 Love the colour
It’s very well restored. Thanks, Sue.
That truck looks amazing, Tim. Almost like brand new. Did a great job!
They did a wonderful job. Thanks, Bruce.
Does anyone else get a warm glow when they look at these photos? Grrreat!
I think most people do. Thanks, Inchy.
Thank you, Sir!

I used to spend a lot of time working on cars and motorcycles. These days the cars are too difficult to work on myself. Thanks, Brian.
Beautiful.
Thanks, Gigi.
Awesome! That Lexus back there compliments it nicely with the color.
The reds are similar to my Mazda’s Soul Red. Thanks, Dawn.
Fabulous, thank you Tim! xo
Thanks, Resa.
My friends back in Czech would be in awe to see such a sight (they are true gear heads), and it is a beauty.
Our Cuban friend’s would go crazy over, old nicely restored cars and trucks. They loved tinkering on vehicles. Thanks, Randall.
Yup…that’s BEYOND restored. That truck never looked that good rolling off the assembly line!
.
Perfection
That is so true. It didn’t have dropped suspension off the line, either. Thanks, DR.
