The snow level is dropping in elevation and we are supposed to get freezing temperatures starting tonight. We usually don’t see single digits here. Last time I remember it went that low was 2009 and we had frozen pipes.
I guess we are trying to compete, but our temps be weird. When we went out at sunset to see the cranes it was 35ºF, once the sun had sat the temperature dropped quickly. The temperature was 25ºF when we got back an hour later. Then it dropped to 19ºF and hour after that. However, when we went to bed, the temp was up to 28ºF outside. It was 22ºF when I got up at 6:00 am. Much higher than 9ºF on Friday morning.
Ours are, too. Though maybe not quite as crazy as yours… Well… must go out and shovel a pathway from the back door (my responsible side that my kids used to think was stupid to do.
I think all of the water ended up at our place, partly frozen, partly liquid. I just partly shoveled and partly squeegeed a few inches from our driveway.
I was always gobsmacked by the bright pink dawn clouds up in your neck of the woods, Tim. These photos are wonderful.
By the way, I’m working with your “soundtrack” suggestion (Brave Ulysses) in my serial episode this weekend. Although, I might be late finishing it. Hugs.
Clouds finally moved in here in Vegas – been raining all day and likely tomorrow. At least it isn’t the freezing type they are getting back home at the moment.
In the second photo in particular, the texture of the clouds makes them look like jigsaw puzzle pieces.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Now that you mention it, it does!
😀
😊
Besides clouds, anything like alien abductions, flying saucer landings, body snatchers (not the coroner’s office), happening in NM???
All of the above always happening around these parts. Thanks, Danzig.
The Painter has been working overtime in your area, Tim. Beautiful scenes at dawn! Rainy, windy and cold up here.
She has. Thanks, Lavinia.
It was 9º when I left the house this morning.

The fluffies playground!
They played out and left us with -13ºC this morning. Thanks, Marina.

At least you are above freezing.
Whoa! Trying to compete with us up here?

Morning water colors.
We could have used some water from them. Thanks, Brad.

As Marvin, the depressed robot in Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, would say, “Sounds awful!”

“Tiny purple fishes runs laughing through your fingers…” I’ll be on the look out. Thanks, Teagan.

Wow, that first shot is spooky! My tree looks frantic. xx

Rain is definitely following you. We’ve been socked in by clouds all day with a bit of drizzle. Thanks, Brian.
