Ashes to ashes
Concrete to dust
Getting cremated 🔥
is an environmental must
It don’t cost much 💸
It don’t cost a lot
So it’s cheaper
and neater
than buying a plot ✝️
Broken but not beyond repair
Death is not the foundation of eternity
Life is –
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1 Peter 5:10 (ESV)
Out here where we have vast open spaces, people can be buried and forgotten until development finds its way to where they were laid to rest. Sometimes the bones are in ancient burial grounds, but usually the plot of the plot thickens and investigators discover it is the dumping ground of a serial killer. All of which brings up another question that needs begging. After the bones are removed and the houses built, do those unfortunate souls have places to live? Thanks, Shey.
You don’t want moss growing on your soul in the afterlife. Although it’s so dry here moss doesn’t grow, but maybe ethereal moss manages to Marcionite dry souls. Thanks, Brian.
Oh dear. I like to say yes
Thanks, Dale.
So sad to see, but often seen in old cemeteries … especially if there is no remaining family.
Thanks, Danzig.
Hopefully yes!

Indeed. But some folks insist of being pickled and plotted away. Thanks, David. I love the poem.

There are those who say that they do because they have left their bones behind.
A very emotive image and caption. Thought-provoking, too.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Very philosophical, or metaphysical, so early in the morning.
Something for thinking on Sunday. Thanks, Brad.
Just another day in retirement.
Tim, I’d say definitely . There’s a cross on the secure concrete slab. That’s all the soul needed. 🙏🎶
Thanks, Christine.
An interesting grave site. The enclosure looks like it was meant to contain planted flowers.
It’s hard to say. Thanks, Lavinia.
Beautiful post please like my post freinds
It still looks very beautiful broken. Great colours against the mossy grass.
Thanks, Susan.
Hmm….. I’m going for – Rest In Pieces.
Or Pieces of April if, by chance, April is buried there. Thanks, Resa.
Maybe that break allows the soul to escape to a better place…while letting in the moss.
