That is a bit of a mystery. I assume the water has risen since the swing set was built, but there are a lot of strange things there, as you will be seeing, so someone could have put it there on purpose.
Wow! You have no idea how surreal this is to me. As a child, we went camping at the Salton Sea often. There was a resort that had a playground with a swingset. My friends and I played on it all the time, not much else to do there. One day the swingset tipped over and almost crushed my friends’ skull, he almost died. So, every time I think of the Salton Sea, I think of that day, and that swingset. Crazy.
How interesting, Tiffany. Bombay Beach, where we were, is now a surreal array of ruins, bizarre sculptures, strange people and a killer swing set in the water.
Amazing shot, Sir.
Thanks, Inchcock.
Nice!
Thanks, YellowCable.
OK. I know there is a story here. So what happened, Timothy? Why is there a swing set under water? Gorgeous color and composition, by the way!

That is a great photo, Tim! Love the color and composition. Love the swing in the water!
This is wonderful Tim!
Thanks, Holly.
Wow! Crazy! At least falling off the swing wouldn’t be painful…. I think.
Hi Resa. A couple of girls waded out and did some swinging. They didn’t fall off that I saw.
Cool!
What a neat & labor-intensive idea!
Not much else to do out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks, Dawn.
Ah just lovely Tim 🙂👏
Thanks, Julie!
