  1. Damn, I forgot it was Friday the 13th ~ and the sun just went down. I need a drink 🙂 Great shots and colors (the crab spider and Iris and Dr Huey being my favs). Cheers to the weekend ahead.

    • Thanks, Randall! We are doing our 3rd annual Dr. Huey tour in our village, Corrales, on Sunday. Dr Huey is the root stock we use in the SW, and he thrives when the bush grafted to him dies. Many rosarians scoff at Dr Huey. We love him.

  2. It’s difficult to capture spider pics on flowers, I find anyway, they can hear me coming, I guess, see, I kill spiders in my home (totally hate spider bites) and I think they sense this from me, even though I never kill spiders that live outside.

I love Friday the 13th, it is a good omen, Jesus and his twelve disciples make for 13, the sun and the 12 planets make for 13, the nights at the round table and that dude whose name I don’t remember now, make for 13, there are 13 full moons in 1 year (even though in many countries, but not all, there are only 12 months), yet somehow, the number 13 has been riddled with superstition.

    • 13 is a great number. I think it’s considered bad luck just because it’s easier for people to find bad in things than it is to find good.

King Athur and Sir Lancelot are the two most famous dudes at the round table. I remember one night in a hotel room, I turned on the Tele, and there was Lancelot clanking away on Guinevere in full armer, and she was writhing and moaning in ecstasy as he clanked away. One reason I rarely watch American movies. I don’t believe amour in armor has anything to do with Friday The 13th, but your mention of the dude of the round table reminded me of that silly scene.

      • lol! Glad I missed that movie! True, Americam movies are all about placement advertising, sex and violence, I don’t watch them much either, although I did find Forest Gump really funny.

    • Thanks, Teri. I think the movie was “Camelot” or something like that. It was early 1980’s. I don’t remember if I saw the rest of the movie, but the scene of amour in armor was so ridiculous that it stuck with me.
