Transit of Mercury

TransitOfMercury

The small dot moving from lower center of the sun to the far right center is Mercury moving across the face of the sun. Because of cloud cover there are large time gaps in the series.  You can see the still photos at   http://photos.tandlphotos.com/blog/2016/5/transit-of-mercury

  1. That’s a lot of work to capture those terrific pics and then make a gif out of them too, congratulations on a job well done, Tim.

Wish that I has seen the transit but it was cloudy.

  2. Wow ~ this is intense. What a thrill it must have been seeing this (and thanks for photographing and sharing). Cloud cover must have been just a minor distraction on seeing this take place…awesome.

    • Thanks, Randall! Cloud cover was frustrating because we normally have very little cloud cover.
