Wild, Wild Cat

Spunk was so wild this morning that he spilled Laurie’s coffee and broke her favorite mug. He didn’t just spill the coffee, either, but managed to make in explode all over the bathroom. You can see that even after we cleaned up the mess he was unrepentant, and still had a wild look in his eyes.

  1. I guess he owes you a lot more modeling time after this little episode! 🙂 ))))))) (I know it isn’t funny!)
He is just so beautiful and so cute…

    • He tried to slip outside into the dark a few minutes ago and Laurie shut the door on his tail trying to stop him. I think they are even. Although, he’s already recovered and back to attacking everything that moves, bouncing off the walls, and knocking stuff over.

    • She is a he, but it doesn’t seem to matter much on kittens. They are all wild and destructive no matter their gender. He really is a beautiful cat, even though he is quite destructive.

  2. Little Spunk knows he’s cute. The energy in those youngsters can be really something! Our top entropy generators, Abby and Lucio, are finally slowing down at 12 and 9 years of age respectively. They can still create a good bit of chaos when they want though!

    • Thanks, Lavinia! Rosencrantz, Guildenstern and Diné, our 12 and 14 year olds, still do their share of destruction, but having a kitten like Spunk raises the level of destruction to nuclear compared to our geriatric kitties.

  3. I just love cats even though I’m allergic to them. My cat is a long hair calico cat named Cali. I just have to take an allergy pill every day.
She’s the best friend I ever had and I love her to pieces.

    • Thanks, Bonnie! We have a Calico named Diné. Our daughter brought her home from the Navajo Reservation 14 years ago. She had a very tough first year as she was really sick when we got her. But she’s been very heathy after we got her through the first year of ill health. She is a very special kitty and adds so much to our quality of life.

    • Laurie shut his tail in the door when he tried to bolt through the door into the darkness outside. So she unintentionally got even. But he recovered pretty much instantly and has been back in destruction mode as if his tail never got shut in the door.

  4. Although cats can be a handful, I still adore them! I love that unrepentant photo… Oh I know that look well :). Sorry about the mug though. Why is it that they never break something we’re looking for an excuse to get rid of?

    • I read an article the other day that said even though dogs can look ashamed of themselves, they actually feel no shame. They’re just plain lying to you. Cats are honest about it.
