Laurie and Tristan finally talked me into dumping my dumb phone for a smart iPhone 5. I think the smart ones in this matter are T-mobile and Apple, because the monthly service and the iPhone 5 work out to be 7.5 times higher than the service for my old dumb phone.
When I went out to the ditch late this afternoon to check on irrigation water, I saw a movement out of the corner of my eye, and when I looked I saw the wild, gray kitty “snaking” me like Stretch used to do when it was time to waterboard him. This kitty hangs around a lot, but I normally only see glimpses of it running away from me. This was the first time it was still and let me talk to it and photograph it for a few minutes before it ran off.
The rest of the photos are of the tulips blooming along the fence on the west side of the house.

Yes, the monthly service is ridiculous! But I have made good use of the smartphone I have now, so it was worth it to me in the end.
And snake kitty is super floofy!
Thanks, Britt. My wife has been using smart phones for several years and loves them. I had one 3 or 4 years ago for awhile, but didn’t find it all that useful.
You will enjoy your smart phone. I have a droid from a couple of generations ago, and I have loved having it. I have not made myself upgrade to the iPhone, because I would no longer have unlimited internet connection without a huge rate increase. But, Brandt and his friends all love their iPhones.
I think you will be adding a gray kitty to your family soon 🙂
Love the flower pics, of course! I’m anxious to see the area a little later when the trees are out and the summer flowers are blooming in the big field. So much beautiful stuff on the way. Now, if we would just get some rain…
Thanks, Susan. The gray kitty has been a shadow family member for a couple of years. It will hang out on our deck and outdoor furniture, but when he sees me he runs like he’s seen a ghost. Yesterday, was the first time it didn’t run of the instant it saw me.
