Dream Flights west of Downtown Albuquerque

Another clear morning for day three of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Some of the balloons floated southwest of the balloon field, ending up on Albuquerque’s west side and south valley.

Interesting that a drinking quote that is said to have been coined by Tom Waits on Fernwood 2 Night in 1977 is attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt. At least the lobotomized bottler got the quote right. Anyone remember Fernwood 2 Night?

A downtown dog standing in a window, taking in the beautiful scenery in the alley between the buildings on Gold and Central (Old Route 66) in Downtown Albuquerque. The apartment is in an old federal building at 5th and Gold that was structurally questionable, and abandoned by the feds several years ago. Apparently, the ground floor has been repurposed into apartments, which must be considered structurally sound enough for a dog to live in.
