Happy Growlloween!

Jake turns into a Werejake on Halloween

Holy Jakamole! That’s impressive! And the rest of you cats think I’m silly to be wary of Jake! I rest my kitty case.

Gaggle of Ghouls

There are no bones about it. Home Depot rules when it comes to Halloween props displays.

I had to go to Home Depot to get a hose coupler Lowe’s* doesn’t carry and was greeted by a massive display of Halloween props. When it comes to skeletons, they a well-stocked.

While I was photographing this display, a man walked up and said his wife looked like the witch. I told him not to let her hear that. He said no, seriously, they really look like each other. It’s probably good to have a prop as a doppelgänger. As the prop is less likely to get you in trouble.

The Mash Monster is bizarre.

I’m not sure what the black skeletons with the bat or cat ears are.

Costco’s Halloween selection is lame, with a scrawny mummy. Costco has Christmas stuff already.

I found this guy to be the scariest of all. Imagine him going medieval on your nuts!

*I don’t prefer Lowe’s over Home Depot. Lowe’s is more convenient.

Another Conjunction

Venus and The Pleiades conjunction in the low right. The short streak at the top is a satellite.

Conjunctions happen! And this week, Venus and The Pleiades are getting up close and personal as they pass each other, as seen from our earthly perspective.

Venus and The Pleiades on the right. The Kiss Flying-V on the left.

Venus looked orb-like shining through the thin cloud cover, with The Pleiades managing to shine through the clouds as well.

Speaking of orbs, I was in the middle of a bast of phantasm plasma bursting out of the dark matter. Researchers who deal in paranormal activity believe that ghosts and spirits travel in plasmatic cylinders and orbs.

This is a series of the pink moon rising on April 6th when it was 100% full, but not the official “full moon” from the night before. The fifth photo shows Venus near the horizon under wild clouds.

Green Ghost Flies

Green ghost flies from damnation
Satin lost his grip

When I took the photo of the sparks flying from the burning embers as they were stirred, I did not see the ghost until I processed the photo. Since I had “Live View” on when I took the photo, I was able to create the above animated GIF from the images that make up the live view image.

Happy Halloween

My birthday cake. Costco didn’t have any cakes with Happy Birthday!

This is a display along Corrales Road. I’m happy I got it early. The skeleton disappeared after the high winds last week.

All the cats got to try on the bat wings. Loki in photos 12 and 13 was the best batwing model. Glenda (3rd photo) and Gwendolyn (last photo) were pretty good, also. Black cats know they look good in bat wings. Spunk, on the other hand, told me exactly what he thought about wearing bat wings after I took them off him (7th photo).
