I make sure the phone camera is set on live view, so right after I click it, it gets the remainder of the lightning. Are there fires near you? Tristan was getting a lot of smoke from the fires in Germany. Thanks, Herman.
All clickity-click clicks. I stood watching the clouds for like 15 minutes to get the lighting photos. The strikes were few and far between, so it would have been a long video for a few strikes. I do set the phone camera on live view so I get complete strikes. Thanks, Dale.
Wow. I am duly impressed! My camera has an option similar that I chose involuntarily for the first 100 photos in Greece. It was cool to choose the best part of the click!
Thanks, Resa. All the cottonwoods are suffering on our property and in the bosque. I’m watering your tree, Gigi’s tree, and two other cottonwoods that I can get water to. Your tree is doing the best, Gigi’s is really suffering, and we might have lost some of the big old cottonwoods on the south edge of the property.

Garden tomatoes not doing well due to too much heat & rain.
However, the rats, squirrels, skunks and racoons are doing excellently. The rats are having a particularly wonderful year. OMG!
They are eating the rest of the tomatoes!
I was just having a conversation with Brian the Birder about rats in Paris, France. They would run under our feet when we were sitting on park benches. It was hilarious having to pick up our feet so the rats could run under them.
Yikes, that is a bad case of heat lightening. Rain missed us barely a couple nights ago, but hit the trails where I train hard…multiple inches in like 5 hrs…could have swam my miles that next morning.
Multiple inches in five hours here would produce major flooding. We get a few inches of multiple hours, but we usually get a heavy rain for like 20 minutes that produces 1/4 inch of rain or less. Thanks, Brian.

No. I was with my sister and brother-in-law. We were in Athens for one night only.
