Meow Meow meowed at the door last night. I let him in, and he was wet from the rain. He stayed around for a while comforting me. Then when he was dry, he asked to go back outside.
Such gorgeous photos…….and beautiful sights to see. I love the photo with all the boat masts but truly I could never pick a favorite photo from this batch – they all make me want to travel!
I was there in April of ’69, just after Greek Easter on a field trip with my college’s Greek Foreign Study group. I took a B & W picture with my little Olympus PEN camera (half frame of 35mm Tri-X). It was the first field trip out of many others. Many years later, I found out that my brother had sold the camera without telling me (grrrr). I remember so many of the beautiful spring flowers of Greece. The hard part of being from a liberal arts college was keeping our collective mouths shut because of the Papadopoulis dictatorship. I learned to say “The mountains and the sea are very beautiful” in Greek, when asked how I liked being there.
What a great story. Grrr is right about your Olympus PEN. “The mountains and the sea are very beautiful” is a safe thing to say any time. Thanks for sharing your story, Shunter.
the flowers are great! I don’t know why but I definitely was not expecting the cacti and agave!
No one expects cacti and agave. The area is generally arid. They have had a lot more rain than normal this year. Thanks, Tristan.
Beautiful.
Thanks, Gigi.
😊
You have a cat called Meow Meow! Brilliant!
It’s my host’s cat. He is vocal and earned his name. Thanks, King and I.
Love the flowers, classic ruins, and gorgeous seascapes.
It’s beautiful out here. Thanks, Brad.
A beautiful set of photos, Tim. The red poppies make me think of France for some reason. Love the visiting kitty!
Thanks, Lavinia. Meow Meow is a sweet kitty.

I’m heading to Dundee tomorrow to visit Shey. I’m doing the Beach Boys thing. Thanks, Holly.

A Good Samaritan (for cats) at work during the Easter weekend…
Meow Meow was being a Good Samaritan for me. Thanks, Herman.

Pam and Teddy too
Thanks, Pam and Teddy. I love seeing all the masts. The sea and boats are opposite of the high desert of New Mexico.
