And Jim. I see Jim died in May of this year at the age of 89. I never saw any of the programs that he hosted. I hadn’t seen Wild Kingdom since the mid 1970’s.
HI Resa. I was about 200 feet from it. They are not particularly dangerous for people, but they like to eat cats and small dogs when they can get them.
On the hunt?
I think they are always on the hunt. She was just crossing on the way back from a field to the west of the ditches. Thanks, David.
Fabulous…
Thanks, Susan!
God catch 🙂
Good catch 🙂
Thanks, Harry!
I’ve never seen a coyote in real life, Tim.
Beautiful. A little like a fox over here.
TTFNski!
Thanks, Inchcock.
What a cool picture. You always capture “the moment”..
Thanks, Patti!
You’ve got quite the wild kingdom going on out there.
In honor of Marlin Perkins. Thanks, Teri!
And Jim 🙂

I didn’t know he passed 😦 I used to enjoy seeing him on the Letterman show and loved Wild Kingdom because of the connection to our St. Louis Zoo.
I looked him up since it’s been over 30 year’s since I seen him on TV. I saw him on Johnny Carson a few times in the lates 70’s early 80’s.
Saw those shows too. Would love how he’d freak out the hosts with the animals.
A remember a woman from the San Diego Zoo would bring animals on Johnny Carson that made for funny comments and moments.
BTW Bruce said Saint Louis is doing really well. He figured you would be happy about that.
Her name was Joan something. I remember her on Carson. YAY STL!!!
What a sweet looking creature! Were you far away, or close? Are they dangerous? Do they ever challenge the cats?
HI Resa. I was about 200 feet from it. They are not particularly dangerous for people, but they like to eat cats and small dogs when they can get them.
Oh! 200 feet is pretty close. Now I’m worried about the cats.
I make sure the cats come in before dark, so they are not out when coyotes are most active at night.
Awesome picture! And it looks so small! I always thought it’s bigger
Hi Victoria. That one is smaller than most. I think it’s a pup.
She looks lean and hungry. I think you are right, I bet she is a pup.
Thanks, Lavinia!
Super photo Tim …🙂
Thanks, Julie!
