I’ve seen several frogs in my life, but I don’t remember ever encountering a toad. Clearly Rosencrantz was intrigued too. Great sunset shot too!
Thanks, Matt! We used to have a lot more toads, but we don’t see them as often these days.

We had a ton of baby toads earlier this summer. I actually picked them up but this size? Not happening!
He is a brave fellow, hanging out with you just like that!
He didn’t seem to mind us at all.
I haven’t had as many toads hanging around the patio as in past years. Hopefully, somethings not killing them off like the bees.
I think a lot of ours get ran over because they like to sit in the road.
Lol…I never thought of that, but they sit in the road here too.
I think toads an frogs are really sensitive to pesticides and changes in food sources, also.
As are a lot of our little wild critters….
