I agree with you Timothy, I can never understand the ‘purists’ notion that there is a pure photograph and images should not be retouched, the original photographers thought of it as painting with light which suggests something very artistic rather than purely documentary and they were limited only by the technology available. Amazing colours on those slides!

    • Thanks, Jane! It’s like telling painters they can only use paint straight of of the tube. no mixing. And wherever their brushstrokes fall, that’s it, if they change or paint over a stroke it’s cheating.

  2. There is nothing quite like the look of slides for me…whether it is seeing them up on the wall during a slide show or just holding them. Grew up with slides and shot slides when I first got into photography… wonderful writing and sentiments (to go along with the photos).
