  3. makes me to think, who’s protecting children of substance abusers. they are a population without a clear lobby. and ending up being orphaned by both sides (parents/community), too often.

  4. Like one of your other commentors I have to say I see this and weave a story about the person who dropped it. It may be someone with a substance abuse problem but it could also have belonged to a diabetic. But the syringe itself is such a powerful image of sickness. Body and soul.
