Beautiful candlelight, Timothy, a warm glow in the darkness. The candles brought to mind an illustrator and SciFi cover artist, Rowena Morrill. She has a painting called “Ghosts I Have Been” that is in one of her books on her art that I have.
Thanks, Lavinia! Interesting how images bring to mind other images or stories or experiences. I like that title. With some of the weird, realistic dreams I have at times, they often make me wonder if that’s who and where I’ve been.
The mind is one fascinating database, collected over a lifetime. Sometimes images “relink” the conscious mind to some forgotten table. Yes, dreamstate is a strange place. After Katrina, I had a dream my old horse (long dead) and I were on a mission to get help. We had been riding along and came across a long line of people in various states of trauma. A blonde girl who was wet and looked drowned was on a stretcher carried by two men, who asked us to get help. We rode off. I came aross more people, who were milling around. I then realized they were all dead. The girl was had been on the stretcher then came up to me and smiled and said she didn’t need help anymore, it was OK. When I woke up from that one I had to look around for quite a while to be sure of where I was. Those dreams can be humdingers.
