We celebrated spring with chocolate angel food cake and tea, surrounded by small arrangements of hyacinth, tulips and daffodils. Laurie uses the leftover egg whites from making gelato to make angel food cake and adds dark chocolate and chocolate chips — she calls it her “angel/devil” cake. I don’t care much for angel food cake, but when it’s made with chocolate, by devil it’s good.

Perfectly beautiful, and so perfect for the day!
Thanks, Susan. Another “to do” for your list — angel/devil cake and tea with Tim and Laurie.
Oh! And Amaretto gelato for a chaser;)
A very good “to do!”
How perfectly civilized!!
Especially for a Neanderthal.
Yum and pretty, too!
Thanks, Brenda!
yummy yummy!!
Now you have another reason to visit Albuquerque;)
jejeje Thank you Timothy
I can vouch for how good the cake and tea was since I was delighted to help celebrate the beginning of Spring—the cake was made even more delicious with a dab of whipped cream–and using the beautiful tea set made it even nicer.
Thanks! It was nice that you dropped by to celebrate with us.
I meant to say yesterday – Happy Spring!!
Thanks!
How lovely. There is much debate here over whether the first day of spring falls on the 20th or 21st March. I’m with you.
I think technically spring fell on the 20th this year, but I always think of the equinox as falling on the 21st.
