Giving new meaning to the phrase “one tough cookie” or a gang of tough cookies, in this case, this plate exploded as the cookies were being thawed out in the microwave. Curiously, the plate pieces were too hot to touch, while the cookies themselves were still cold.

Oooooh! But at least you could still eat the cookies so it wasn’t a total disaster!! If the cookies were ruined this wouldn’t be a laughing matter~

ahh I learnt this the hard way š sudden cooling of the very-hot plate from the moisture of the cookies led to cracking of my favourite bowl. still love the cookies though!
This one definitely reached a critical mass between cold cookies and the plate as it heated faster than the cookies thawed. The plate lost it in the end. Thanks for the reply:)
