I remember 1955 as one of the best car years of my life. We had a 1955 jazzed up two-tone ford that we probably liked better at the time than any other new car that we bought in our life. Our car and the above Chevrolet model became collectors as they aged. I am not sure but what the first little Thunderbird came out in 1955.
It seems a lot of them lasted and they restore well.
