In The Dog House With The Cats

The cat food bag at 5:00 a.m.

The cats got me up at 5:00 a.m. to feed them like they do every morning; however, when I opened the bag to get their food, the bag was empty, except for six kibbles, which was one kibble short of the clowder swarming around my feet. Oops! I forgot to drop by the store on the way home from work last night to get kitty food.

Silver: “Don’t give me any of your cockamamie malarkey about ‘Let them eat tomatoes!’, which is pronounced toemahtoes, BTW, pathetic Paparazzo, because it ain’t going to stinking happen!”

Gwendolyn: “YOU STINKING, PATHETHEIC, LAME BRAINED, PREHISTORIC POPARAZZO!!!! Knuckle dragging, sorry excuse of a silver-haired Sasquatch. You irresponsible, long-haired redneck rascal! I can’t BELIEVE you FORGOT to stop by the store to get us kitty food on your way home from work. It’s been like over 12 hours since we’ve eaten! That’s like 12 years for our kitty stomachs. Now you listen to me, and you listen good, PAPARAZZO!!! You get in your stinking little sports car, and you stinking speed to that stinking store as soon as it opens and get us some STINKING KITTY FOOD! UNDERSTOOD?

Meanwhile, back in bed, I slept in until 6:30 a.m. because it was 27º F (-2.8º C) when the cats got me up at five to fail at feeding them. When Jake and I left for our walk at 7:00 a.m. the temperature had dropped another degree.

After I got back from the store and fed the cats, I worked on winterizing the outdoor kitchen and the irrigation system.

Glenda: “I forgive you, forgetful Paparazzo!”
