While it was too dark to see in the nest with the naked eye, my iPhone’s LiDAR was able to see Nora Owl in the nest giving me the eye. I assume she was feeding the owlettes that we have not seen yet.
One of the reasons I got the iPhone 13 when it came out was for the low-light photography. The iPhone 16 is much better. I have used my Bazooka lens in months. However, when the owlettes start showing themselves more, I will probably drag out the Bazooka. Thanks, Teagan.
People like to laugh at me when I am standing at dusk taking pictures with my phone vs the The Beast hanging at my side, but as you demonstrated, they have a better ability to detect edges in bad light.
Wow Nora is really giving you the eye! She was hard to find like one of those optical illusions pictures!☺️
Great pictures, Tim!
Thanks, Becky. The owls really blend into the cottonwoods.
Ooh.. a bit like the Macbeth cauldron scene words …..
Eye eye! Thanks, Shey.
lol!
In fact, it’s a hoot….
It’s so cool that you saw the owl tonight! You know how much I love Owls!
Thank you, Tim!
You’re welcome, Nancy.
Oooh…. Wonderful…… I hope she has another successful breeding year 🙂
Thanks, Sue.
I love the “Nora’s Eye” photo!
Always watching and aware. 🙂 Beautiful dusk colors.
I would imagine the bosque to be ideal owl habitat.
Thanks, Princess. You would think owls and cottonwoods were made for each other.
Seeing Nora Owl is such a treat! Beautiful dusk.
Thanks, Marina.
I see two owlet faces if zoomed in. They are in the tree, upper right of Nora.
Thanks, Susan.
Great work Owl Patrol! That sounds like a great feature on your phone. Hugs.
