He had much better dance moves than the band. I walked over and listened to the band for a few minutes. They sounded great, but they had no choreography in their performance. So Mr. C Wren was much more entertaining.
He was doing the Jungle Boogie on a wooden water tank. A Boogie Woogie Bugle Wern from Company C. Crooner that is. Carolina Crooner. Crooning out in the Texas Hill Country.
Didn’t get a good look at its tail, but that is a lot of white on the neck with a stark contrast to the orange belly – also doesn’t have the bold white eye-line. I think that might actually might be a Canyon Wren.
Very nice Tim. Maybe it inspired a Wren-ku? Or a song perhaps.
A ku easily. Song? He’s a good singer. Thanks, Brad.
What a beauty….and what a gorgeous song:). I love the ‘taking a bow’ picture:)
Thanks, Janet.
Ah… sweet song! Gorgeous shots! I love the bow he takes.
He was quite a performer. Thanks, Marina.
What a sweet song he has. He well should take a bow. Lovely.
He’s a funny little guy. Great performer. Thanks, Dale.
He sure looked like he was enjoying himself!
He was having a ball competing with the band across the street.
I bet! Did he win? I think he would be the winner.

Merlin identified it as the Carolina Wren. That’s what we have to go by. Deep in the Texas Hill Country he was. Thanks, Brian.
