A happy kitty that might be a stray.
Late this afternoon, Glenda was at the bay window in the kitchen, meowing and growling. I looked out to see what the problem was. There was a tabby cat between a rose bush and the fence. I went out and talked to the kitty, but it acted like it was going to run away. I went back inside for thirty minutes, went back out, and the kitty was still there in the low evening light. I sat down on a large pot and started talking to it again. It started coming toward me, but stopped to do a bit of grooming. Then it started walking over to me but stopped about ten feet away, turned to the left, walked to a patch of bare dirt, and started rolling around, acting playful. It never got any closer to me. I brought out some food and water, and it ate the food.
when I processed the photos, it looked like the kitty might have a skin condition of some type. It looks like a fancy cat with its swirling patterns. I’ll see if it comes back, and I can win over its trust so I can see what its fur is like and take it to the vet for treatment if needed.

Enough! The show is over.
Very unusual face. Cats know where to seek help, even if they at first are a little afraid of the people. I hope it comes back. You and Laurie have taken in so many cats over the years. This cat must feel that. 😻
Laurie noticed it has an unusual face, also. I’ll see if it continues to hang around. Thanks, Susan.
You are such a kind soul, Tim.
Thanks, Dale.
Must belong to someone. He/she doesn’t look thin. Maybe have a chip? Anyway, the rule at our house, you spend money at the vet’s office on a critter you don’t know too well, it’s yours. That’s how we got Caitie. That’s how we got Sammie. I do hope you’re able to gather up the kitty and have them checked out. If there’s no chip, the cat is yours. Stays indoors with the rest of the crew.
Thanks, Deborah.

Other than the fact that it looks all wrong and you’re a gabillion miles away, I’d say this is my missing Toonces.
Toonces possibly slipped through a worm hole. Thanks, Leenda.
I hope he slips through it again!
Spunk slipped back through. Keep hoping.
Thanks! I’m hoping he’s hanging out on the next block. I’ll probably do a search tonight.
He just came home. Thx for the good juju!
He didn’t show up here tonight.
It looks like a nice cat. Maybe she’s lost. I hope she comes back and that you can gain her trust so that she can get the care she needs. Who knows… your cat family may have a new member soon 🙂
We don’t need another cat. But I want to help this kitty the best I can. Thanks, Rudi.
Kitty sure has come to the right place.
Thanks, Shey.
This kitty cat will be back and living with you:)
We’ll see. Thanks, Janet.
I love the dismissive expression in the last photo. She looks well-fed.
Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Cute kitty. Hope you are able to win its confidence and help it. Then it might become a regular in your posts.
Maybe that’s it’s motivation to be famous on WordPress. Thanks, Brad.
I think eventually the kitty will come to you if it ever comes back again. The owner may tight up his home to ensure it does not get out again.
Let’s hope the owner will keep it in and take care of it. Thanks, YC.
Hi Timothy, this is a beautiful cat. I hope it will come back and you can help it if necessary.
Thanks, Roberta.
hey
cool blog 🙂 will give it a follow and a like !
Sweet kitty! Unless it just went for a walk and went back home, I hope it comes back to a very good friend!
We shall see.. Thanks, Marina.
Hope you adopt this sweet one.
Only time will tell. Thanks, Gigi.
The kitty knows he has arrived at the home of kindly cat people. You are right, time will tell.
Thanks, Lavinia;.
Aww .. I hope if she is a stray then she gets to trust you… She is beautiful .. ❤
Thanks, Sue. Leenda said it looked like her cat that disappeared yesterday. But she’s a thousand miles away. I said it could have slipped through a worm hole and to keep hoping. The cat didn’t come back tonight, and her can came home. Hmmm?
Oh now those worm holes/portals are cropping up all over.. So pleased her cat came home… I am sure this cat found somewhere cosy to sleep xx 😀
Spunk fell into one for a month back in 2020.
Yes uts distressing when they go walk abouts.. Biscuit had a 28 hour vanishing act too in the summer.. its a worrying trait.. But thankfully they have 9 lives ✨️💕✨️
How do your cats take such intrusions? Sounds like Glenda was a little wound up, but assume the rest of your herd would be a bit miffed having to share. Not that familiar with the feline community, but if a dog shows up (well, any creature) unannounced all hell breaks out with our canines. We get a few feral cats from time to time, but they tend to not have any interest in engaging with the humans beyond “bring us out your pesky chipmunks”. Neighbor (a loose term for us country folks) has a bunch of barn cats and from what I can tell, have plenty of mice over there to keep them happy.
They don’t like outsiders. Cats can be very xenophobic. Thanks, Brian.
Beautiful cat! Just gorgeous, and you don’t have one exactly like that! xo
hope you can make friends with it!
I haven’t seen it since. Thanks, Resa.
Oh! xx
I haven’t seen it after that! Thanks, Resa.
It sure arrived at the right household! You’re the best!
Thanks, Julie.
