Hi Resa. I would imagine that owls would eat baby beavers if they could get a hold of one that’s small enough. All the young beaver I see are quite large, so they may not come out of their dens until they are too big for the owls. I see the owls right on the edge of the water in the clear ditch quite often. I assume they are looking for muskrats, which are the size of very large rats.
