Great captures! I have never seen an Eurasian kestrel in wild, or any kestrel for that matter, but my daughter’s family have American kestrel falcon, a cute little thing rescued from a garbage bin.
Thanks, Inese. The chateau is on the edge of a large park and zoo east of Paris. If we had more time to explore that area I believe we would have seen a variety of birds.

The birds seem quite tame. Our Starlings grab food and hide in the bushes.
Hi Inese. As you can see the starlings gather around people’s feet and wait for them to throw out pieces of bread from their sandwiches.
Yes, it surprises me as the wild birds here behave different. They stay away from humans.
When we were in Paris in 2013, sparrows at Notre Dame landed on my hand and try to steal my sandwich: https://photoofthedayetc.wordpress.com/2013/05/17/france-day-5-travel-to-provence/
Yes, indeed, I too have similar pictures from my trip to Paris 🙂
Hey Tim, a great collection .. love the shot the the pigeons on the stairs, what a super angle. 🙂
Thanks, Julie!
