Wonderful photos!
Thanks, Cindy!
These two are terrific. Clicking over to check out the rest.
Thanks, Teagan!
The site is having issues this morning so you might not be able to get there.
Teagan, did you ever get to see the full series?
Hey Timothy, thanks for liking my latest blog post. It was nice to see a familiar avatar after a long absence.
Love this collection of images, btw, especially with the contrasting lights.
Thanks, Jacquie! Happy to see you back.
These are great photos Tim. The neon lights are so colorful and bring the area to life in a special way.Route 66 is such a historic part of New Mexico. It’s a part of American history. Albuquerque is fortunate to have so many reminders of the “Mother Road” still alive. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Thanks, Juanita. It is nice that there is still a lot of historic architecture along Central through Albuquerque.
Thanks for sharing these photos, Tim. Buildings take on a special beauty in the night.
Thanks for looking, Cathy.
My pleasure.
The “boulevard of broken dreams” ~ seems I’ve traveled this road a time or two 🙂
I think we’ve all been on that boulevard! Thanks, Randall.
I love the illuminations of the shops. It’s all so colorful, I would like to have the same lighting in my town 🙂
Hi Sara. You would certainly enjoy lighting like on our Route 66 in you town. The neon and lighting on Central Ave is unique to Old Route 66. There are lots of lights all around Albuquerque, but not like you find on Central.
Love old diners 🙂
Thanks, Teri. There still a few on Central.
Thanks for sharing these Timothy — I just recently listened to a podcast all about the Mother Road.
Route 66 is interesting. Thanks, Matt!
Thanks, Matt!
Wow! Every pic was amazing.. some more awesome than others, but all in the A+ zone!!!
Thanks, Resa!
Great photos! That used to be my favorite Satellite Coffee. I was bummed when it closed.
Thanks, d. Nelle Vincent. I never went to that one. Just photographed it.
