Thanks, Lavinia! It was really cute with the cats curled up on the bed and the snake cured up on the leaf against the window. Couldn’t get a shot that showed the kitties and snake curled up that anyone could make sense of.

Thanks, Herman! Actually in southern Belgium you have the Adder (Vipera berus), It’s quite beautiful, and according to Wiki, bites a lot of people in Sweden at a rate of1300 per year. If that number is true, Swedes are 5 times more likely to be bitten by the single species of venomous snake in the area, than folks in the US where we have 20 species of venomous snakes.
Years ago, when I was a mountainbiker, I saw an adder during a ride in the Ardennes, a region in southern Belgium.
People say there are still adders living in ‘De Kempen’, the region in Belgium where I live. But I never saw one…
