Tired of Wired

Cranes flew over our Cuckoo’s Nest at dawn

Sunset through the finer wire on the Sally Port

Cats don’t close the door
Gotta keep the birds inside
Had to add fine wire

Smoking hutch

Daddy Longlegs

Cows in the dusty dusk

Sliver Moon with jet and contrail

Steaming hot mushrooms

Spunk worn out after boxing books

Black Lace Trees at sunset

Bovine Battle Nutty Squirrel

Take that! No! You Take that! Mooarrrgh!

What was that? Don’t look now, but there’s a pesky paparazzo. I told you not to look!

Nutty Squirrel Nutkin with a nut in Comfort, TX.

Crescent moon this morning

Abstract owlets. Walter and Willa were out of the nest behind leaves and branches.

Nora owl, hooting tonight’s grocery list to Osric. Osric was not seen or heard tonight.

Night Rider

Dawn. Venus was still bright.

Reminiscent of nights gone by
Once again, riding in the dark
Eyes shine ahead
Coyotes and cows are split
By a sharp beam of light
Scamper into darkness
Only owls break the silence
As cold air rolls off the mountains
Splashing over the levee
Drenched in frigid air
Consumed by darkness

Sagebrush, cottonwood, and Jupiter rising.

Cottonwoods reach down and grab at you in the dark.

Light from a creature or spirit up ahead.

Dusk with lots of colorful particulate in the air.
