Eye’s are on you
We went to Trier, Germany, in the rain today. Trier was one of five official Roman residences in the 3rd and 4th centurys, and it was the home of Karl Marx.

Reminded me of Inchy in his younger days.

Das Foot

Karl Marx traffic lights

Roman ruins
Holding up the arch

Tunnels under the baths were used for maintaining the hot water for the baths.

We staoped by the Karl Marx Museum

Hour glasses showing how much time Marx spent in different cities. He lived longest in London and then Trier.

One of the better grafitti I saw

The Karl Marx traffic lights are fantastic! Great post, Tim.
The traffic lights are super cool. The museum was well done. Very modern, with lots of Karl Marx merchandise. I don’t believe he would have approved of the commercialization of his memory in T-shirts, cups, magnets, and his unfinished writing. Thanks, Herman.
Fabulous fotos! Those traffic lights are too cool.
Who are you travelling with?
I’m visiting my daughter and her husband, who live and work in Germany. They have been in Germany for a year and a half. Thanks, Dale
Das Foot needs ein stiefel (a boot) 🥾
for a glorious “Dictatorship of the
the Pedestrian”. The revolution ✊️😎
starts when those Marxist traffic lights
turn green.
Ya, aber das foot ist sehr Monty Python ohne Stiefel. Herr Marx würde sich im Grabe umdrehen angesichts all der Waren, die in seinem Andenken verkauft werden. Danke, David.
Thanks for the fun tour Tim.
Thanks, Brad.
I particularly like the photos of the Roman ruins.
They are great. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Well I asked for pics, i sure got ’em. xxxxxxx Timnothy. Great to see.
There were a lot more photos, but we got home late from pole dance class, so I didn’t post the photos from the cathedral. Thanks, Shey.
OOOH. I watch the space with interest.
Great photos.
Thanks, Gigi.
🤗
What a great post, Tim! Thank you.
I’m having fun. Thanks, Rebecca.
Yeah man, the Marx Museum was cool, but super depressing at the end. Gotta bone up on Das Capital! Good times ^_^
Capitalizing on Das Kapital, Marx would not approve. Thanks, Craig.
How fun! Not sure what kind of bird that is, but I have to say I like the foot…now if that could just be married up with a butt statue we would be in business!
It’s a Eurasian Blackbird. Foot in butt would be fun. Thanks, Brian.
So much beauty and history, enjoy!
Thanks, Tiffany.
I am glad you are getting to enjoy the sights and history, Tim! Have a great time!
There is a lot to see and so much history. Thanks, Lavinia.
Wow!!! You’re in Germany?!? This is way cool! 📸🇩🇪 Loved seeing the photos!
Ja! Ich bin in Deutschland. Danke, Samantha.
These are great photos Tim and so glad you’re having such a great time!!!! 💕
Thanks, Cindy.
Fame at last, you mentioned me! That one took me into the past, reminding me of what I am missing in my dotage, Tim. Thanks for remembering.
You were the first person I thought of when I saw the guy feeding the birds. I remember how much you loved the birds, especially the mallards. Thanks, Inchy.
Bless you, mate. I do miss them, but nice to at least see photographs. Cheers.
Oh, this looks like a lot of fun Tim. Great pics!
Lots of rain and green here. Much different from our environs up over and down under. Thanks, Miriam.
