Glenda Watched…

Resa’s Wolf Tree soon after sunrise

Roses are blooming again after battling the dry heat. We have not had irrigation for over four months. Getting enough water to the roses, fruit trees, and other outdoor plants was challenging.

Glenda watched a big ‘ol jetliner fly over

Mud swirls off the grass in the river

Reflections in muddy water and gas balloon over powerline

Clear sky and muddy water.

  1. My goodness.. we are away for a few days and will catch up when we come back BUT these images are ones to have before my eyes …they will sure do me for the next few days. Lovely

    • Have fun and don’t get into too much trouble. Happy to give you some lasting images to get you by while out and about. Thanks, Shey.

    • I’m happy you caught the Steve Miller Band reference. I think it’s a decent song to have stuck in your head. Thanks, Teagan.

      • I always thought it was a positive song. It talks about knowing where you want to be, (and that particular knowledge can be elusive) with confidence in the ability to return. I like the almost discordant sounding harmony on the word “airliner” too. 🛫

  2. Wow, 4 months with no irrigation. We have had rains off and on, but in a bit of a dry spell. Fortunatley been up in Wisconsin for dog show so less stress on the wells

  3. Beautiful views!! Right as I read the part about Glenda watching the jetliner fly over, a jetliner flew over my house, haha! Perfect timing! Also, I love the way the grass looks in the mud! 💖

  4. The roses are beautiful. I’m glad they are doing well during the dry spell. It’s been about 7 weeks since we had rain. It’s hard on the little plants.

  5. The soft pink roses on the dark backgrounds are especially beautiful. I can imagine trying to water plantings to keep them alive with no irrigation is quite challenging. We are keeping a close eye on the water up here, too.
