Song and animation by Timothy Price
As many of you know, I love motorcycles, and pretty much everything related to motorcycles. I haven’t ridden much over the past 40 years, as I had switched to racing bicycles to get my thrills on two wheels. However, I rode motorcycles for 13 years in my youth, and I was a terror on two wheels, outrunning our local crooked crop by taking out across the desert, leaving him in my dust, trying to jump like Evel Knievel, and riding motocross like a madman. I still have the scars, and so many great memories from riding motorcycles in my formative years. So when a representative from Viking Bags asked if I could do a feature post about them, I was more than happy to.

Viking Bags
By Timothy Price
[Verse]
Hit the road in style for adventure
Bag yourself some fun with room to spare
On the open road through rain or shine
Protected in style when you are on the go
[Chorus]
Live to ride, ride to live in style
Live to ride for a long long while
Ride to live, live to ride the miles
With Viking Bags
Where adventure meets with style
[Bridge]
Answer the call of the West
Like heavy metal’s thunderous appeal
Be the envy of the motorcycle scene
With a functional, adventurous appeal
[Chorus]
Live to ride, ride to live in style
Live to ride for a long long while
Ride to live, live to ride the miles
With Viking Bags
Where adventure meets with style
[Outro]
A hardshell case or leather
Adventure meets style with Viking Bags
You know you can’t do much better
Than Viking Bags when you go
To where adventure meets style
Tim, Don and I had so much fun watching your video. Without question, this is pure horsepower poetry! Your words, visuals, and music come together like a road trip with rhythm—equal parts grit, gear, and imagination. I had no idea motorcycle luggage could be this cinematic! No wonder Viking Bags asked you to create this video for them. WOW!!
Your love for the ride shines through every lyric, and your shout-out to Viking Bags makes Don want to jump on a bike again and head for the horizon to meet up with you. (Along with perfectly packed gear, of course). You’ve turned touring into art, adventure into storytelling. FABULOUS!!!
Thanks for your wonderful comment, Rebecca. Viking Bags did not specifically ask for a video. They asked for a post, and I spent the past three weeks thinking about creative ways to do a post for them. The song with an animated video and the game were my two best ideas for ways to try to make the post interesting for people who don’t ride motorcycles, since I only know of a few regular followers who ride.
Don was ready for the ride! Brilliant – simply brilliant.
Tristan left a motorcycle when she moved to Germany. I rode it a few times before I sold it. If I had kept it, I would have bought some Vidking bags for it. It was fun to ride, but there are so many distracted drivers out here that they take a lot of the fun out of riding. Plus, without a sidecar, I can’t take Jake.
A ride would not be the same without Jake!!!! He is a wonderful friend.
It would not be the same at all.
What fun taking us back to your youth and love of the bike. Rad music an so much fun. Love the spin and taking us on a great ride too, Fun to get a window into what you love. Thanks for sharing! 🏍️
Thanks, Cindy. I’m trying to make the post as interesting to everyone as I possible can.
You did that with flying colors.. you’re most welcome!!! Thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks!
My dad realized his lifelong dream of getting a motorcycle when he was in his fifties. He had a milk crate lashed to the back to carry his communion kit, prayerbook, and Bible. Needless to say, shut-ins were startled the first time he roared up their driveway.
I can imagine the surprise. That’s a great story. Thanks, Liz.
You’re welcome, Tim.
Great job with your feature post! 🏍️
Thanks, Michele.
Well may I say…..I can see why they asked you. This is some psot to them.
Thanks, Shey.
Brilliant feature post, Tim! Viking Bags are so fortunate! Love the song and video!
I can just imagine you riding like a madman!
Thanks, Marina. I’m happy you like the song and video.
You delivered. No, you delivered fabulously! Rock on, Motorcycle Dude!
Thanks, Dale.
Awesome! They have some cool stuff, naturally they would ask you to help promote! 👍
Outstanding!
Excellent video and song, Tim! I can picture Jake riding in a side car with you!
Jake would love riding in a sidecar. Thanks, Lavinia.
Well… I’ve already told you how fabulous the video is, but you added even more cool things to the post. LOL, I enjoyed your exchanges about Jake in a sidecar. It’s just as well that you didn’t include that in the video though, because it would have stolen all the attention from the product. 😀
I did the Spin game, and I’m still dizzy! Haha. It’s terrific.
Seriously, I do like well designed bags and containers of all sorts. Theirs look well thought and well crafted. You did Viking Bags proud with this post and video, Tim. I hope they are grateful. Good luck to them. Big hugs.
I’m happy you played the spin game. It is a bit dizzying or hypnotizing, depending on how you look at it. Jake would love riding in a sidecar, and he would look adorable in a helmet and goggles. I looked at electric bikes with sidecars, but they are expensive. Thanks, Teagan.
That sounds cool. Too bad they don’t have a “try it out” program. You could make a video and that might convince them to comp a bike for you. (Yeah, I know — reality bites.)
I ride a push bike. Old ladies overtake me as the walk past me. Is there any hope for me?
There’s always hope. Thanks, Geoff.
What a great ride. Amazing writing.
Thanks, Trishikh.
