Well? I thought I could!
We left the house at 6:00 am this morning. A surgeon removed both cataracts from my eyes. We got back home at 10:00 am.
Paparazzo: “Ah! That’s Better! Silver is crystal clear now.” Silver: “No, it isn’t! You’re making me look mean! Are you still blind, or what? Stupid Paparrazo!”
I had to make like ZZ Top and get a pair of cheap sunglasses. Laurie thinks Silver and I look alike.
I shared my coffee with Cthulhu while I was recovering.
I felt something weird, and there they were. The nurse forgot to take off the monitor pads.
Spunk looked handsome as he kept an eye on me while I recovered.

We all get them if we are fortunate to live long enough, I have already had mine done – enjoy having most likely “perfect vision” – looks like you had lots of cats, and Laurie standing by to make sure you recover safely. Take care of yourself!

Irrigated and worked in the yard most of the day. I did all the prep for the cataract surgery and went too early.

Applesauce — all that was fast! Excellent, Tim. LOL, I’m beginning to think they must have given you some great meds! (Really, I realize they probably just told you to take Tylenol or something.) Seriously, this is such a fun post. I got a big kick out of the Tim/Silver lookalike photos. Then add Cthulhu and Spunk being caregiver, and it covered all the bases — including reminding me of a great song that I haven’t thought of in years. Hugs.

The surgeon was great. I have had no pain. I went to my follow-up this morning, and the specialist said there was very little swelling or inflammation. I have to do prednisolone and antibiotic eye drops four times a day tapering off until the first of August. My old prescriptions are working at the moment, but I will be able to get new prescriptions in August that will put me back to 20/20 or better. ZZ Top is great! Thanks, Teagan.
